Shimano is the best, and the only reel I will ever use
Forget Diawa, forget Okuma, Shakespeare, Penn, Shimano is the best, and the only reel I will ever use, the quality you get for 30 dollars is incredible, I have many Shimano reels some costing 250 dollars, I can not tell the difference between that and this 30 dollar reel, at least not in anyway that make.s a bit of difference. I have a big brown box of reels of other brands that are broken, but I still have the first Shimano I ever owned ready for action that was 25 years ago!!!! As with any reel if you use it in salt water, like I do, rinse it off, this reel will last many years without repair, great, smooth drag, good gear ratio, superior durability and smooth action makes this the best reel you can buy, I will never spend more...why would I? It cast just as far and has just as good of a drag system as a reel that costs 250...though Dicks sporting goods has them for less

Sienna Front Drag Spinning Reel from Shimano
The Shimano Sienna Fd Spinning Reel is a good product for a good price. If you want to buy the family heirloom reel, Shimano will sell you one for $500.00 or more, but for general fishing, this will more than serve the purpose and should last several years for a person who takes care of their gear. If you dip in in the salt water too much and or not rinse it after you come in from fishing, it will die quicker than if you care for it like it cost you $700.00 or so. No, then you wouldn't want to even take it fishing at that price, so save a lot of money, buy one of these when you have to and enjoy your time out fishing. This reel is smooth and really has a substantial drag, when cranked down for larger harder running fish, like Jack Crevalle, that bite and run south at full tilt. I like the look and feel of this not too expensive reel, that cost me only $37.69 with Free Shipping with my Prime Membership. I can pay that price and still smile at the billing receipt after holding and putting line on this reel. Of course, the price is lower now that I just brought mine home from it's first fishing trip! Tight lines.

Good for the once in a while fisher
Good for a beginners reel. After moderate use the reel will need to be greased. Even when using the correct tools to dismantle it the screws will not hold the clutch in place. I will be exchanging this for a better reel. This is my first shimano purchase I have disliked. Was on clearance last fall.. Now I know why.

Great product!
An inexpensive reel that performs as well as my $200-300 shimano baitcasters. I've used this product all summer fishing coho, king, and pinks from the shore and boat. Great reel for your money.

The reel wasn't functional
I ordered this reel because of its positive ratings/reviews on Amazon, as well as the solid reputation Shimano seems to have. However, this product arrived with a bail arm that was so terribly defective it completely prevented the line from meeting the roller when closed, which renders it useless. This was the first Shimano reel I've ever purchased, and most likely the last. Perhaps I'm one of the few unlucky ones who received a substandard item, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to take that chance again with Shimano, especially if I'm about to go with a much more expensive reel. As disappointing as this purchase turned out to be, Amazon's superb customer service was very cooperative regarding this issue.

Smaller than what I needed.
I'm a Charterboat Capt. And I fished these reels for three days and they started getting (loose) . In all reality the fish were probably a little large for the reels. Very short handles made it tough reeling in even a smaller fish. Got them for a real good price so can't really complain about that. Really should have gone the next size larger, all in all an ok reel for the money but too small for my needs, unless fishing for perch etc.
