Everything You Need To Know
This is the best way to dispense soap. Why touch something everyone else touches after doing their business when you are trying to get clean? In the March 2011, Journal of Environmental Health published a study which showed that one in four bulk soap dispensers are infected with hazardous levels of bacteria. They also found that there was zero contamination found within sealed dispensing systems like these hands-free models. After washing with contaminated dispensers, hands had 25 times more bacteria on them!! FYI, this is the same exact dispenser as the following (aside from logo and color). Just buy the cheapest one.: Purell 2720 Purell 2729 Purell 2780 Purell 2790 Gojo 2730 Gojo 2740 Gojo 2789 Gojo 2799 Micrell 2750 Provon 2745 Some Facts: Gojo owns Purell, Micrell, and Provon. Gojo estimates up to 30,000 uses on the included C-size alkaline batteries. These dispenser accepts 1,000 mL or 1,200 mL TFX refills of gel or foam (sold separately). The trick to all of the above dispensers is that they accept any refill that has a grey nozzle. Here are the refills you can purchase: SOAP: Micrell 5357 Foam Gojo 5361 Foam w/ Conditioners Gojo 5362 Foam Gojo 5364 Foam E2 Gojo 5665 Foam Green Gojo 5369 Foam with PCMX Provon 5344 Foam with PCMX Provon 5382 Foam Green Provon 5383 Foam Provon 5388 Triclosan w/ Conditioners "Sanitizers": Purell 5384 Foam Purell 5391 Foam Green Purell 5392 Foam Purell 5393 Foam E3 Purell 5398 Foam Purell 5399 Foam Purell 5451 w/ Dermaglycerin Purell 5456 Gel Purell 5457 Gel Purell 5491 Gel Green Purell 5496 Gel Purell 5592 Foam Purell 5389 Foam w/ Conditioners Lastly, there are two TFX models that only accept FDA approved Healthcare Handwash and Surgical Hand Scrubs (without electrical modification): Provon 2745 Purell 2785 Why are these TFX models more expensive? Why can't you use any other TFX soaps in these dispensers? No one knows and Gojo isn't telling. I've asked several times via their website (with no response). The only difference between the cheaper dispensers and the expensive ones is the removable color-coded "key" that is installed inside. If you want to use medical soaps in regular dispensers, you just need to replace they color-coded key, which isn't available for purchase from Gojo. Regular soaps/"sanitizers" are grey nozzle and surgical scrubs/antiseptics have a white nozzle or a red nozzle. Aside from swapping the key, I won't tell you how to bypass this. Pure CRAP for the money
My biggest complaint is the unforgivable price gouging that ALL of these sellers are Practicing. I realize we live in a country where everything and everyONE has a price Tag., the only g-d we worship is the almighty dollar. But charging what they charge For JUST the shell is beyond the pale! I can’t even address the issue of the cost on The refills without foaming at the mouth! The product itself is worth, maybe half the listed price and I am being generous! They used to make good, sturdy products. Now, the flimsiest products are used to Save money. They are a bear to open when you need to exchange the refills! As Stated in another opinion EVERY item necessary to work this thing must be bought Separately at astronomical prices!!! I am of the opinion that this virus will rage MUCH longer and faster due in LARGE Part to the price gouging and the fact that - what used to be a great country - no Longer has a supply chain! It is completely broken and we do not have the leadership In place nor a reliable congress that we can look to for relief. In other words...we is SCREWED big time!! ( I hear flights to Antarctica are being discounted...lol ).

Works well in my home for my use.
I am a homeowner and this is the second unit I have purchased, this unit replaced the previous model which lasted about four years. I do feline foster care for the local humane society and also own one of my own cats. When I have to do a litterbox I find it much easier and more hygenic to use this instead of going to my household sink to cleanse my hands. There is no dirty hands touching the knobs on the faucet or waiting for hot water so I know the germs will be killed. It is large but surprisingly not heavy. It is quite easy to install- you have 2 choices- either screw in or use the very large adhesive backing. As you can see in my photo I chose to use 3 screws. It is very easy to set up. Insert 3 "C" batteries in a compartment that needs no screwdriver, just twist knobs with your fingers. The cleaner is also simple to install, just press a button and it slips down into place. The soap lasts our family of 3 about 8 months, that is approx 2-8 uses a day. The sensor is good, it will dispense the soap up to about 4" away from the two eyes and usually by the first attempt. It does give out a big amount of liquid, I would guess about a heaping Tablespoon- in my opinion too much for a child. It doesn't dry out my hands like other alcohol based sanitizer, maybe because it's foam. I am glad I bought it, I do wish it had a shield for accidental engagement of the sensor. In addition to the above use I also find this comes in handy after I fill my outside bird feeders. And in the kitchen, when I am using chicken or items with a high risk for contamination. I am happy- and will continue to have one in my home.

Great deal for the home as the pandemic continues
I've been wanting these for a while, even before the pandemic. By Spring 2020 these were nowhere to be found, so when they popped up last week I ordered a couple. Shipping was prompt and the pricing was about as good as I could have expected. There are many reviews bemoaning the lack of an included refill... this is clearly the dispenser and only the dispenser. There is absolutely nothing in the listing that should have a reasonable person click away without knowing that this is a dispenser. Installation was a snap and getting the TFX bottle in was tricky the first time, but should be easier now that I understand how it all works. TFX refills have been scarce but are starting to pop up online for MUCH cheaper than Amazon. I bought 4 refills online for just under $20 each. So keep looking!

Beats some of the alterntives
Out of the box I had problems. Primarily with the refill unit, that had incorrect alignment between the lowest output piece and the hole in which it is located. There is an oval shape, and the shapes need to be correctly aligned, or else the entire unit plays and acts dumb. After 20 minutes of fiddling with the components of the refill, the unit finally cooperated. Others have complained about the unit's sensitivity, I found no issue here. The sensitivity and amount of anti-bacterial gel were just right. If you have cuts on your hands, expect medium pain from the apparently alcohol-based solution. That goes away after a few seconds. On a personal note, I need sterile, or close to sterile hands and fingers before i conduct a self-catheterization, which I must do 4 times each day. I've tried using 90% isopropanol alcohol and anti-bacterial wipes. Both left me sore with bladder infections later. This is an experiment that I will update later to let all you kind folks at Amazon Reviews know how things work with this new method.
