Worth every penny
This awning saved our recent week of offroad camping. It works really well as designed but we used it on the ground sideways (like a curved wall) to block the cold wind as we huddled around an LP firepit. Once staked down, it can handle an impressive amount of wind. I only wish we'd had another one to block the wind from 2 sides! It goes together in about 2 minutes and back down just as quick. It packs away nicely in a small bag. I replaced the cheapo guyline ropes with 550 cord and I haven't messed with the suction cups. I love the versatility. This trip wasn't the first time we used it but with a little creativity it really shined on a couple of cold, windy nights. Every other member of our group vowed to get one of their own before our next adventure.

This thing is a winner
Love this thing - perfect on my teardrop camper. I rarely use the poles and just have the other end staked in the ground - creates privacy this way and since I’m only 5’1” it works perfectly for me set up this way. I’ve been in rain storms and had my electric bike completely sheltered by this awesome product. Use it every time now and it’s simple and quick to set up. Quality has held up / suction cups absolutely suck so plan to get better ones or use strong magnets.

I like it, but have some gripes.
In some of the places where I camp, especially at beaches, there there can be a lot of wind. It happens especially when we want to cook! I got it for a wind block - you can see how I pitch it against the camper, with one end right on the ground. I haven't tried pitching it with the poles. In this configuration there is a surprising amount of room under it. Some advice: Try to assemble this before the wind starts. Even with two people it is a handful. Assemble the two long poles and insert the ends into the corners. Then clip the hooks onto it. You can't slide the poles through the hooks because they have thick ferrules. When disassembling, you can't slide the pole out because the ferrules catch and the pole comes apart. The outside poles are stabilized at the peak with ties. This is difficult because the ties aren't long enough. The inner pole also has a tie, but it is too short. The two short ends of the tent are not the same. The longer end goes up against the truck (or over the car in some configurations). The shorter end goes down on the ground, or is held up by the heavier poles provided. I tried short loops of rope to the grommets near the ground because my stakes won't fit through the grommets. The supplied stakes are worthless in my opinion. The window at the short end is a mystery. If you are blocking wind, it will let it through. The same goes for blocking sun or rain. Gripes, etc.: The fabric color is not very dense. In bright sun it lets a lot of heat through. There is a little mesh rectangle that can be hung inside at the apex of the tent for storage. Confusingly, they call it a "string bag". Two rectangular bags with Velcro attachments are supplied, but not explained. I think they could be sand bags for use on the beach, but I don't see any place to attach them. Two suction cups are supplied. I haven't used them - usually don't trust them. Two spare hooks - nice touch. Despite all my criticisms, I like this thing and will continue to use it.

Quick shade for a couple
Works perfect for what it's described... I use it on my hatchback at concerts and football games. When I can anchor with stakes I use heavy brake rotors. Probably not the best in windy weather but I wouldn't expect it to be. Offers the perfect amount of shade for 2 people off the back of my hatchback with room for 2 chairs and a table to cook on. Sets up quickly, could probably do by myself but very easy and quick for 2 people

versatile and compact
We use this to cover the back end of our teardrop camper. It works great to keep that part of the camper dry when it is raining outside. The last time we took it camping we had heavy thunderstorms and wind, and it held up really well. We also liked how compact it is when we store it. It's much smaller than other pop-up canopies. The only thing we didn't like were the suction cups for holding it to the trailer. One cup was deformed and didn't work at all. The other didn't hold to anything. The camper also comes with tie-downs which we used to secure the canopy to the trailer wheels. Those worked just fine. I would recommend this to anyone who wand a compact cover.

Poor quality and damaged item sent to me.
I have a 5th Gen 4Runner and wanted a affordable temporary awning so we can get some shade while camping. First my item came without a box and only in the zippered bag you store it in. Then I noticed it looked as if it was used or assembled at one time due to the way the awning was folded. I bought it last minute so I didn’t have time to set it up to check it out. I get to my campsite and attempt to set it up. Each corner has a nylon black pocket sewn so you can insert the 2 poles into them for assembly. While with 4 corners I only had 3 pockets. They forgot to see on the 4th pocket and who ever had this before me cut the threads on the tent material so they could have a pocket to insert the pole. Well since I was already 3 hours from home and the sun was out and we were burning up I attempted to set it up. On the side that goes towards your vehicle they have suction cups to help keep it in place. These suction cups are of very poor quality and did not stay put at all even after cleaning the surface. Then to set up the 2 legs at the other end you need 2 people or else you’ll be fighting and wrestling this thing back and forth to hold it in place, try to put the weak aluminum stakes into the ground and adjust the cord. It took me about 45 minutes to an hour to finally get this set up. Take in mind I’ve been a Boy Scout my whole childhood and camp at least a dozen times a year in my current adult years, so I’m fully capable and familiar how to set up tents and tarps. Basically even if the pocket that was missing was there this product is good for temporary or very short term use.

Great design, horrible poles
I was looking for an easy up shade canopy for my tear drop camper. While the design shows it being used off the back, I use it off the side. The set up is easy with the 3 pole design. I use my own telescopic aluminum poles instead of the included steel ones. The canopy is great in terms of size and is great for my use. However, after the first use, the middle pole, which was already questionable fiberglass when I first pulled it out of the package, had a section split. I contacted the seller who stated they would replace it right away. It's been over a month and even after a few more contacts with the seller, I'm still with a broken middle pole. The product is GREAT....except for the quality of the fiberglass poles. For the higher price over similar canopies, I expected a better product.

Just what we needed for our pop up camper!
We bought a used pop up camper and the OEM awning was no longer usable. Replacement awnings from Jayco ran almost $1,000 so I bought this bad boy instead. Boy am I glad I made that decision. I use a few bungee cords to attach it to the top of the camper because the suction cups don't work on the rough surface of the camper roof. Assembly and tear down are pretty straightforward and everything fits easily in the supplied bag. However the absolute best quality about this awning is its ability to stop the rain. We just took it out for the first time in the wild after setting it up once at home. During our camping trip it rained HARD for 12 hours straight. Our Coleman canopy was dripping everywhere and even the canvas on the pop up was starting to soak through. Not this awning though! Not a single drop during the entire storm. We woke up in the morning with a dry area in front of the camper door which was a huge relief. I definitely recommend this awning if you are looking for a replacement camper awning at a fraction of the price.

Great rain shelter
I was sold by the versatility of this shelter - it’s more or less a standalone setup unlike a standard tarp and it sheds water well because of this. It fits well over the back of the truck with the tailgate open as an extra. I like that you can put it up with the standup poles or no poles or shorter sections of the poles. Although i could see you would need to protect the ends of the shelter if you planned on leaving the one end on the ground. I quickly put it up for the first time in the pouring rain having never put it up before and it was quick and easy - although took me a sec to see the inside third tent pole attachment that goes in the middle of the shelter. In the photo i had not put out the guy lines yet but it stayed up anyway since there was no wind. I didn't bother with the suction cups and just hooked it over the roof rack and tied it to the truck wheels. The suction cups it comes with are rubbish and i took the pre-caution of ordering heavy duty strong ones as per the other recommendations - but didn’t in fact need them. The next time i put it up it was quite windy and it was a bit of a challenge to guy it out by myself to the long standup poles but in retrospect if i had suctioned it on to the windows it would have been much easier. Plus if i had filled the bags with sand and had those in place - but sand is not that easy to come by in most campsites. The pegs were pretty light weight - although they worked. I would suggest heavier ones as others have. By the way, as you can see in one of the photos, i paired this system with the roadie window tents also bought on amazon so that the windows in the truck could be open when sleeping in it without the rain or bugs coming on.

Great item
Great versatile item chosen because of seller's description and some good feedback from buyers.

Great camping accessory
I bought this for my son for Christmas. He is a 4x4 and camping enthusiast. He absolutely loved it. His mates were envious. It works really well attached to the back of his Toyota Prado SUV. Here are some pics from his first time use at a lake side in WA. It packs up really small, so it's really a space saver in the cargo area. The only thing he thinks he will do is change out the cords to something a bit stronger. He said the nylon material was strong. Great buy. Get it!

Dañado
La arme para verificar su funcionamiento y note múltiples rasgaduras pequeñas. Una decepción ante un producto nuevo. Lo devolvería, pero devolver algo desde aquí es un martirio. Era buena la idea, no espero que dure mucho.
