They have been flawless and have exceeded my expectations. They kick on very well. SSD over disc based is no comparison. My PC boots extremely fast compared to non SSD computers I have used in the past. For information we installed two Windows 10 Pro keys. Review: Love this little gem. - This is in my wife's computer, and is my first non-work-related purchase of an SSD. I know this is a bottom of the line drive, but it's impressively fast for the inexpensive price! This is used for typical stuff like browsing the internet, using Word and other office suite programs, and the occasional gaming session. It is, admittedly, a bit short on capacity @ 120GB, but for most people who don't have tons of picture/videos/music, 120GB is plenty. It doesn't make any noise, unlike your old-school mechanical drive. I see no reason to buy anything more expensive than this drive. I have used lots of different SSD's, even the Samsung 840/850 drives, and it's a bit hard to see much difference in normal activities that don't include benchmarking. Unless you are running benchmarks for a living, this is a sweet little drive! I highly recommend it! ***UPDATE*** Well, after 1 year the drive died. The computer shutdown and was unable to boot into windows. I tested the drive in multiple computers, and it's dead, BIOS can't see it. I sent for an RMA and was issued a new drive very quickly. This drive carries a 5 year warranty. Thanks for the quick recovery time, OCZ/Toshiba. I lost all data on the drive, so that's a major bummer. **If you found this review helpful, please mark it as helpful by clicking "Yes" below.**

Failed after 6 Months
I had this drive for my OS, and a few programs I wanted SSD speed for, and for the first 6 months it worked great. However about six months to the day, my computer failed to recognize the drive at all. While it has a 3 year Warranty, which was one of the reasons I was willing to take a chance, given some negative reviews that seem to mirror my current situation, I would not recommend this product. I had hoped that the 3 year warranty was a greater predictor of the drive's lifespan than the negative reviews (which were not so numerous during my initial purchase, and I had figured were over-representative of those who had issues with the drive than the total customers), it seems that, at least in my circumstance, it was not. I may be willing to edit my review based on the longevity of my replacement drive, however even if the next drive works perfectly, I would still caution potential purchasers that you're making a gamble on longevity. EDIT: After contacting OCZ about the warranty, they shipped a Trion 150 series drive. While I cannot confirm the longevity of that drive, in terms of low cost drives, there is almost no benefit in this, over the 150 series. Read speed and Write speed are nominally the same at 550 and 450 MB/s, but the 150 series does seem a little faster, based on my benchmarks for start up time, and it appears to have a newer firmware version, that presumably fixes the old issues. I will withhold complete judgement until I can determine the longevity of the drive, and I would still say the cautious choice would be to buy a slightly more expensive drive, but for a low cost drive, if you're thinking about the Trion 100 series, take a look at the 150 series instead.

Great for upgrading my old laptop
I purchased this to be the primary hard drive on my spare laptop. My laptop is about 5 years old and was getting very slow. I decided to swap out the old hard drive for this solid state drive and install Linux Mint as the primary operating system. After making the switch it is extremely quick and responsive. In many ways it is even faster than the HP Envy I purchased 6 months ago to be my primary laptop. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the first one that I ordered did not work when I received it. Amazon was very fast in sending out a replacement drive at no charge and the replacement has worked perfectly. However, this does give me a little concern for the drive possibly failing in the future. To be fair this can happen with any drive and is the reason why all important data should be backed up. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, and would buy it again. It turned my old barely usable laptop into a very responsive backup. Just make sure any important information is backed up.

Excellent customer service
I had this item for about a year before it failed. I contacted OCZ (Toshiba) and they immediately responded within a business day, new SSD shipped. The product itself was for a desktop pc which was mainly for operating system and main programs that are used on a daily basis coupled with a 2TB HD for games. Booting time was always less than 5 seconds on windows 10 and about 4 seconds of load time after sign on for all apps to appear. Product is good and customer service was excellent. The failed SSD was probably just a bad apple as I have had experience with many other brands in the past because there were no signs or indications of a failing SSD (decreased speed, random shut downs, no error logs) as it randomly froze completely and required a manual shut down and unable to boot back into OS moving forward with numerous attempts at repair and recover. Product is recommended, but as a standard for data storage these days always have backup with a cloud or external drive. Purchase recommended and one of the best customer service I have dealt with.

Died after 4 months -- no longer recognized by BIOS
I was using this to run a home-built Plex Media Server PC. It was the main OS drive, while using a standard high capacity HD for the media. The drive worked great. It booted fast and served up Plex media fast. Great, until about 3 months later when overnight the PC froze. A reboot shows the drive not even recognized by the BIOS. I pulled it and tried it on other PCs, no help. The good news is that OCZ replaced the drive quickly, but in the meantime I already replaced it with a Sandisk SSD. I thought maybe I had a fluke, but judging by reviews for this SSD, they seem to be having a quality issue at OCZ. If you own this drive and it hasn't failed yet, I strongly recommend you go to OCZ's site and download updated firmware for the drive which should prevent failures similar to what happened to mine. Once it's gone -- it's gone, but updated firmware may prevent the problem.

One in Laptop died after almost 2 years. Cheap, effective, may overheat. Still a solid little state drive.
Update: The SSD I had in my laptop died after almost 2 years of use, 23 months to give a closer estimate. My other one I purchased is mainly used for Gaming as a secondary drive, will keep posted if that one dies, and change review to 1 star. Such a shame. After 6 months of solid use, the first SSD I installed in my laptop still lives on. After a while of owning it and not a single crash I had decided this wasn't a bad purchase overall. Although it doesn't perform as fast as my Intel I've had for almost 2 years, the speeds are definitely commendable. After initial problems of updating firmware (the boot-able softwares on their page) I haven't had a problem since. I've been so overall impressed by the product I bought a second one on black Friday. My only concern in the long run is that defraggler seems to think the SSD is running a little hot; in both the laptop that runs its OS and my PC I built, where that specific SSD holds graphic intensive games.

Pretty good SSD for the price(on sale)
Works just as advertised, came quick and nicely packaged. Everything installed correctly and is running as I had expected it to! Fast boot up, and it plays games faster than my HDD, which is nice! Means I can load up the games I enjoy playing quicker and without having to play the waiting game. Would Recommend.
