Anyone who regularly uses tapers should not be without a few of these packages on hand at any given time. For years I struggled with how to keep my tapers from wobbling in my various-sized candlesticks and candelabra, but no more! These little wax buttons do the trick. You just peel them off the cardboard, warm them up a little by kneading them with your fingers and line the inside of your candle holder with them or just stick them onto the bottom of your taper and no more wobbling or dripping!The one thing I never understood about this product is its name. Maybe they’re meant for other uses as well, but when I bought my first package years ago at a store, the owner specifically told me they were used to stabilize candles. It never even occurred to me to use them for something else, though I suppose one could.

This sticky substance works for so many things that I always keep a supply on hand. I didn’t realize I was down to my last button this Christmas so frantically ordered more. They keep candles straight and in place. They help hold small items in place in the china cabinet so that nothing moves or breaks. They are great for stabilizing light weight decorations. Not much to it, but when you need it … it works! Order arrived very fast.

These were hard to find on the internet. So glad I did. I use them every time I use candles, to settle them into the candle holder and not tip over. I also use them to fix a vase, a do-dad, on a table so the kittens don't knock it off or tip it over. Anything that needs steadying. It's like melted candle wax, though firmer, and you may need to scrape it up/off when you're done, but for the good it does, .....!!
