Will this work with virgin media hub or does it bypass that all-together?  are instructions available so that i can see what install involves?

It can do both. I’ve put my virgin router in modem mode because the Orbi is just so much better as a wired/wifi hub.

Do I have to subscribe to armor” security ?

Please don’t! Netgear Armor is an additional service that comes at a price and has limited functions on this router. In other routers, Armor offers a lot of security functions but with this model you can only have the basic functions at the same price. Also, they activate the auto-renewal by default and stopping this is a nightmare as their customer service has no idea of how to deactivate this. After they charged me for an entire year, I asked to have the auto-renewal deactivated and they said there was no auto-revenewal. I contacted my payment provider and asked to cancel the auto-renewal but as soon as I did that they stopped my service, despite I have already paid for it. To be fair, your risk to activate a useless service that you will never be able to stop. It’s just not worth the effort.

Is this official wifi 6 or draft wifi 6 ?

The model no rbk852-100eus implies this would have an eu style plug. can you confirm if ordered for a uk address it will have a different model number
