MK7 2013>ON WING MIRROR GLASS HEATED LEFT PASSENGER NEARSIDE BLIND SPOT

Really good quality and arrived without damage - was well packed. With the plastic back fixings in place this was really easy to pop into place after pulling the old one off.I've been through 3 replacement mirrors on this car (Please DON'T forget to turn off your mirror heaters when not using them, as they melt the glue and the glass falls out - better yet, just never use them. I've done this 3 times before learning!!)

Have replaced the glass in the wingmirror a couple of times. First time after some idiot drove into my wing mirror and smashed it to bits. First time we bought just the mirror glass (not this product!!) with no backing and it didn't go on straight and when my husband tried to reposition it it cracked in two as the glue was so strong. I've lived with that cracked mirror for a couple of years but finally decided to replace it and got this mirror.... With backing this time.Really easy to fit. Just pop the old one out unplug the electric plugs fit them to the new one and pop back in... Done! Much easier than messing with just the glass. It's worth spending the extra few pounds.

Glass fell off and smashed on the original, so ordered this, which arrived the next day thankfully. It's not glass but seems good quality for the price. Fitted like for like. Connected the cables for the heated mirror which I tested and can confirm, works as expected. Can't complain for price, speed of delivery, design and fitting.Update: Had it on nearly 4 months now and no issues. Been through IMO Car Wash few times too. Highly recommend!

Last year I bought the drivers-side mirror to replace the original where the glass just dropped off. Last week the same happened to the passenger mirror I have been very happy with the first purchase so I returned to the same company to buy the latest one. I have not bought an OEM mirror so I can't tell how they compare to the official parts, only that these are significantly cheaper than those from VW Parts. Replacing the mirror is simple in concept - just pull off the backplate from the wing mirror and remove the two small wires - you might need some WD40 to loosen the wires. Fixing the new one should be simple - just line up the lugs on the new backplate with the circle of plastic and push until they click into place. In my experience (on two mirrors now) is that it is not QUITE that easy - it takes a bit of trial and error to get everything lined up and pushed into place, while the mirror tilting mechanism moves behind the glass... Anyway it took me maybe 5-10 mins of playing to be happy that it was fixed properly.The passenger mirror that I bought has the vertical line and the slightly different reflective area at the outer tip. I am not sure if the original passenger mirror should have this - I can't check as mine is somewhere out on the highway as it dropped off as I was driving (thanks VW).I have not tried the heating element on either replacement mirror - I am aware that leaving the heating element on, by mistake, is the common reason for the glue drying out and losing its stick.All in all, I am very happy with these replacements and they are excellent value for money.

The glass fell off my MK7 Golf wing mirror at complete random, which I have since learned is a common fault.This was available on next day delivery pre-1pm and I needed to drive somewhere that afternoon so my situation meant that I had no other option but to buy this product if I wanted to drive safely.Fitting it is a piece of cake, turn your mirror all the way to one side and you can then just prise what’s left of the old mirror glass off with your fingers, disconnect the two wires and replace them easily onto this product.However as other reviewers have commented this is not a high quality product and there is definitely some warp/distortion to the image that is reflected to you. This doesn’t render it completely useless but does make it difficult to properly gauge the space around you which isn’t great.I will be looking for an OEM part to replace this product with in the near future but this has served a purpose when I was in a tight spot.

Superb value for money, heater works fine too. Simple clip on fit, anyone can undertake this repair.

Needed a quick replacement as previous mirror fell off and smashed into pieces, seems to be a known problem with VW golfs. Arrived next day, easy to install only took a minute or two. Comes with metal clip, just need to pop in first, connect heating wires & push into place. Fits will, found a blog with directions of how to fix the dip function of the mirror when reversing. Works nicely as far.
