Simple bare bones review: This was easy to install and it works great.

This is very easy to operate. I needed it for the chain link fence gates around my yard because my dog can flip the original latches up and get loose. He has not been able to budge this latch. We just have to push down gently on the top of the handle, and the gate opens right up. The only thing, in my opinion, that would keep a child from operating it though is the height, but if a child was able to climb on something and get access to the top, they could easily open it. I would recommend taking assessments of the surrounding areas before deciding whether this would work for keeping a child out. We have had installed for few months now and it gets used multiples times a day. It has held up well. It was a little pricey, but overall, I am happy with it. I will be buying more for the other gates my dog has access to.

Worked great on my parents old pool gate fence to keep my toddler out. I like that it automatically locks when the gate is closed and from either direction. Very easy to install with basic screwdriver and wrench.

We put this on our chain link fence that goes to the backyard when my 2 year old learned how to open the hatch. This honestly works so great for what I needed it for. You need to push down on the lever and push to get it to open. We also left the basic hatch on the fence so that my son would need to go through two barriers to open the fence. He can't reach the top of the lever to push down and cannot get out so I def have peace of mind letting him in the back yard now. My only issue is that I wish the "U" shaped hatch that keeps the gate closed had a little bit more length. It works, but just barely reaches the fence to keep it closed. My fence and gate are not terrible far apart, they're pretty standard but if they were any further the larch wouldn't serve its purpose bc it wouldn't close. Otherwise I'm very pleased with this purchase

Install was easy. It’s not sophisticated or high tech but it gets the job done. Prevents my child from getting into the pool! It’s a good price for a latch and works great.
