Outstanding Amber LED Bulbs for My John Deere LX178! I recently upgraded my John Deere LX178 mower with these amber LED bulbs, and the difference is remarkable! These bulbs are not only bright and vibrant but also highly efficient, making them a perfect replacement for the originals. The installation was quick and seamless, and the bulbs fit perfectly without any modifications. Seems to be a quality product. Both pictures were adjusted to look as how my own eyes saw the car/lights. First picture is without the bulb covers on my car, the second obviously is. My covers are more opaque than clear. So if you’re cover/lens on your car is more clear, you’re going to have a similar result to that first picture. I just installed these so I can’t speak to their longevity

I installed this as a back up light in my 2003 VW Golf. The combination of a bright white LED and a strong magnifying lens on the end make this exactly the back up light I needed. The OEM bulb was way too dim. I bought a competor’s LED bulb but it only had LED’s on the side wall of the bulb tower and did not give any more light than the OEM incandescent bulb. The strong magnifying lens on the end of this bulb made it essentially a strong flashlight. Now we can back up safely and see what is behind the car clearly at night.

Seems to be well designed for a bulb without an external heatsink. Extremely bright, fit perfectly in a Miata, all aluminum construction, stays cool for the short periods of time I'm using it.

These LED bulbs are a big improvement over stock bulbs and brighter than the previous brand of LEDs purchased from another website. I did have a slight issue with the length of the bulb. During install, the tip of the bulb rubbed against the inside of the taillight cover. After finally getting the bulb to fit, there wasn’t much space between the tip of the bulb and the taillight cover. Each vehicle’s lights are different and this may not be an issue for you. Because these bulbs are being used as backup lights, I’m not worried about damage or melting of my light cover. The bulbs will only be on while in reverse. I purchased two additional bulbs for the interior of my car and trunk. Both the interior of my car and the trunk look twice as bright when compared to the LED bulbs that were there before. I can now see everything in my trunk and underneath the seats of my car much easier. The only question is the longevity of these bulbs. Hopefully they last a good while.

I got these to replace my current reverse lights, and they are surprisingly very effective! Many vendors advertise an obnoxiously high lumen count for their LED bulbs, which in many cases may very well be true. But even if the bulb is insanely bright, a lot of times the light spread itself acts more like a flood lamp without any actual focus and therefore doesn't effectively light your path. What many don't realize is that it isn't necessarily the number of diodes/chips you throw onto a bulb; what matters most is how closely the position of the diodes/chips mirror the position of the filament in the stock bulb. That said, the position of the lights on these bulbs isn't identical to its stock 1156 bulb counterpart, but it's close. And to my pleasant surprise, these put out an awesome light spread! Very bright and focused, and they effectively illuminate the ground behind me. These are especially great for cars without a backup camera. 10/10 would recommend! Note: Your mileage may vary, but for my particular application (BMW E84 X1) these are amazing. I also bought a different pair at the same time (JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright Max 50W High Power 1156) for comparison purposes, which I actually expected to perform slightly better, but these ended up being just as bright but with a noticeably stronger light focus. Would def order again.

I was in dire need of a bright backup lamp for my 2002 VW Golf because halogen's just don't cut it when you need to see what's behind you (especially when the windows are tinted). The market is flooded with LED's (not a bad thing) so it's hard to just gamble on a set and hope for the best, which is what I did with these. They installed easily as most bulbs do. It was day when I installed. With the car off, key on, in R, I went to the back to take a look and you CANNOT look directly at these things. I mean BRIGHT. I had to wait till the sun went down and it got dark for the full effect. I've never been able to back up my driveway and see where I'm at with the car. It just wasn't possible. With these, it lit up my driveway and garage. Even through 20% tint I could see fine. I am stoked to finally be able to see behind me. It will also provide outside light to my rear dash cam/backup camera that's in the window looking through the tint. At night you can't see much on the screen, with these LED's there's no issue seeing behind you at night through the cam. Cannot speak of the longevity yet but there's usually a good return/exchange/warranty policy with this type of thing on Amazon

Straight substitution for 1156 headlight bulbs on my 100 series John Deere mower. One photo shows new vs old headlight. Second pic shows new LEDs and cleaned lens housing (and a bit closer to sundown). Much improved lighting. Haven't used them much yet but very happy so far when I did. Will update review if they fail.

Super bright and easy to install on Kubota tractors

If you're looking for a very bright bulb to light your way when backing up then these will do the job! I've used LED reverse lights before that were 8 watts and they were just bright enough to light my way in pitch black country driveways. But these, these are noticably brighter! That extra 0.5 or 0.6 watts makes a noticable difference! No trouble seeing behind me, or even the ground, through my mirrors 👍
