Will this work for my tcl S455....wasn't listed...but I think it's a newer model?

Can you still hide the wires via a cable channel on the wall with this type of bracket that has swinging arms? Is there a wzy to do this so it doesn't

I believe so as long as you leave enough of a loop in the wires behind the tv to allow for movement of the bracket when needed.

I have 12 inch studs would this be an issue to shift the wall plate over the extra 4 inches to the left or right to better center the tv on the wall?

You will have 17" length of mount plate with mounting holes start from 1/2"" from the edge of plate, so you will have about 15.5" to 16" of mount opportunity plus you also can shift TV about 2"-4". Also I had 24" studs and I use one stud and 2 anchor bolts to put 50" TV on the wall.
