I have 3 rifles. will this precisely fit a .270 weatherby magnum, a .270 winchester, and a 6.5 creedmore?

Best to get one that has hex screws that allow for adjustment, place it in the barrel, clamp barrel or rifle on a bench or bench rest, indicate the laser spot on the wall with tape. Rotate the laser in the barrel/chamber a 1/4 turn, repeat and mark the spot each time. This should allow you to zero the laser.

will this work for a .22 lr?

No it does not work for a .22 lr. It only works for the 224 5.56mm or larger .22 would be too small.

when using the bore sight tool, how far away should stand to adjust your rifle from your target?

What are you adjusting on your rifle? A scope? Open sights? It depends what you're adjusting. I was 75 ft away from my wall across my yard adjusting my scope. It's now right on at 200 and 400 yards with that adjustment.

will this model work in a 35Whelen and 280Rem as well?

No. It only works on rounds that are based on a 5.56/.223 case.
