High quality roller - comfortable to use
This is a nice, high quality roller. I purchased this roller to install some Dynamat-type sound insulating / vibration dampener in my car and it made the job easy. The handle is nicely padded with a soft rubber which is grippy so it doesn't slip from my hand. This roller is very solidly built - high quality construction is evident, especially compared to the free roller that came with my sound insulation that I purchased. The Marshaltown roller was so much better that I ended up tossing the free roller in the trash.

OK functional but overpriced
Was a little disappointed. For price, this is not very well made. Worked OK but roller is small and wood not the best material. Handle short and leverage limited. Would think a steel roller, even a hollow one would be more durable and apply more pressure. After all, object is to press out air bubbles and ensure contact/adherance of adhesive.

Good, just not great
Nice handle and wood roller. Just wish there want so much play in the roller! This could really benefit from some sort of adjustable guides to tighten up the play.

I needed this for quilting/pressing seams. For my needs, this didn't work. It was heavier than I needed. I also needed a roller that was slightly eliptical.

Finally a well designed roller
I have bought a few different kind of rollers in the past. After trying this one I believe I found a brand I will stick with! I am using it for laying down sound deadner and find the functionality of this roller superb!!!

handy for quilting
I use this when I need to finger press quilting seams instead of using a hot iron. The results are much better than just finger pressing with my fingers. I use it alot when paper piecing.I like this one over those made of plastic.

GREAT! Though not using for which it was intended :)
I use this to flatten seams while piecing quilts. The handle is soft, the roller is smooth, which means it does not snag or catch the fine fabric, and rolls fluidly. I imagine its intended use would work fine as well.
