Save your cash
Bought - item arrived promptly. Installed, and was running exactly as expected for the first day.Second day, I noticed my rear tire has been shaved down to the inner lining. The final drive that rolls the tire is made of metal, and quickly wears down on the tread. You WILL have to replace the tires on a very frequent basis.Third day, the brass cylinder that the engine's clutch connects to snapped from the final drive, completely disabling the bike from being propelled. This piece is very thin and brittle, especially for something that has the important job of delivering all of the torque to the rear tire. Note that the seller will NOT accept returns for engines that have been run, so if something breaks, you must negotiate with them for replacing the damaged parts.Do NOT purchase this piece of junk, unless you wanna play russian roulette with an engine built by cheap engineering, that also rapidly wears out your rear tire. Do you really wanna take that kind of gamble with $250 of you hard earned cash?

Great product if it would run!
This came very fast! Big plus! It was also very easy to install! A little over one hour. But I was very surprised that there was NO installation manual with it at all. It just had the stupid engine manual that tells you all the stupid legal stuff such as dont over fill gas tank it could spill or be very carful engine is hot when running. Nothing pertinent to the installation of this unit. So I called customer service which is awesome and they sent me via email a youtube video that explains the install but is nowhere near what is needed to install this correctly, just not detailed enough. I am above average mechanically speaking and I own a large commercial lawn maintenance company so I deal with small engine equipment all the time. So the install came very easy for me and I was able to figure most of it out. Now that it is completely installed I cant keep the engine running because the engine has no primer button and will not suck the gas into the engine to keep it running. I am stumped I will be calling the customer service tomorrow to see what is happening. The reason for the 3 stars is there was not manual and the engine wont run.UPDATE: Called customer service and spoke to Matt.( Im telling you, even if the engine wont run their customer service is really good. ) Went over issue with him and he is stumped too. Carb will not continue to pump fuel into it. The only way to run the engine is to continue to suck on the fuel vent tube to get the gas to go into the carb. Once you stop sucking the tube it shuts the engine off. I have primed the engine several times this way only to watch the gas run backwards down the fuel line out of the carb and then the engine shuts down. Yes, the gas shut off is in the on position and the cap on the tank is vented to so that is not the issue. Matt is now sending a new carb. to me because maybe there is something not put together right in this one. I am super happy they have a very good customer service that backs their product up. I am willing to deal with problems like this as long as I have a company willing to help you like this one does. I will update again when I get new carb.UPDATE!I got the new carb and it works! After breaking the engine in and then putting the regular oil in I opened it up! WOW! This is very fast! almost to fast! I have put this on a tandom bike and it scares the poo out of my wife. I also put a speedometer on the bike too and the fastest I have got it to is 28.9 mph with 2 people on it! You might say 30 mph isnt fast but on a tandom bike with 2 people on it it feels like 120 in a car! Of course you need to help it get going but after about 4 mph it takes off! Very happy with this engine and the fastest I am allowed to go with my wife is 15 mph, but my son (15yrs old) and I love to max it out! I have changed the stars to 5 because I love it so much and I am a 46 yr old man! I feel like a kid again.

Great Product!!
Very cool product. We bought this for my son and he rode it all summer and was generally not very gentle with it, but it held up pretty well. It was missing a piece when it first arrived but bikeberry was very helpful and sent us the missing part without any questions and it was no trouble at all. After a few months of hard riding, a spring in the motor broke, but it was a relatively easy fix and probably resulted more from operator error than product quality. Overall, great product. My younger son has a birthday on the way and asked for one of his own.

Watch and read before you purchase!!!
This is everything mine came with... Now to somebody who's done this a million times it may look like just about everything you need however if this is your first time receiving the kit you'll immediately notice this looks very different from their pictures. It does not come with nuts and bolts or fastenings of any kind it comes with an engine the mount for the tire, a throttle cable (and it's a mile long ridiculous cable and super short wires to connect up to the engine to your ignition switch which is also pointless because it's a pull start.... This does not come with a gas tank there is a small area for gas on the engine. The tools quote unquote that they give you is an allen wrench and what looks like some sort of mid 30s late 40s prison made tire tool..... I still haven't been able to get mine together of course without the nuts bolts fastenings and fixings, and you guessed it no response from customer service. This thing can be made to work but don't expect perfection from the box.

The 49cc is a much better buy and has very little problems
The motor is just okay and the adapter kit had problems with the bell draging on the clutch or the housing. I talked to the manufacturer and they weren't much help. I could have sent it back but decided to make repairs on my own since time was a factor. Next time I will not buy the 38cc since it is way under powered. The 49cc is a much better buy and has very little problems.
