Worked with older Dyson airwrap
I bought this in hopes that it would allow me to use my US Dyson airwrap styling tool in Ireland at 220 V. The step down transformer totally worked! I tripped the circuit in my room at first, but after following the instructions EXACTLY, it worked like a charm! Because of the high cost of Dyson products, I would absolutely advise testing this on a less expensive US appliance first. I tested this on a cheaper US hairdryer, and when that worked, I moved onto testing it with the air wrap. I tried this set up on the advice of another US friend now based in Switzerland, so this seems to be a nice workaround for getting US Dyson to work in Europe!

No plug included! To turn on, you need to buy a plug. Also American devices don't fit!
This arrived with no plug, so in order to see if it worked, I had to go out and purchase one. It shoud clearly state that it is just the transformer with NO plug included. Once turned on, it was relatively quiet (the one good feature). I went to put my American plug in - didn't fit. I tried three American plugs in each of the "American" outlets - wouldn't go more than halfway. Useless, heavy hunk of junk. Returned.

Works well with US lower voltage items
Expensive for what it's used for,Daughter purchased a candle wax melter not realizing that she was on the Amazon US site and it was not for use in the uk (doh) so because of the return cost I purchased this voltage dropper and it has enabled her to use the melter in the uk so all in all a good item

Not making too much noise
Quality stuff and not making a lot of noise in use; rather powerfull stuff and can be used also in countries with 110 Volt Systems!

Danger beware
Dangerous rubbish. The transformer did not work and tripped the domestic circuit when first switched on.

Works well on my 110v large microwave at 1600W rating
I have had no issues after 4 months of intermittent use dedicated for my microwave and Dyson vacuum
