Beadalon Wire Rounder Burr Attachment for Battery Operated Bead Reamer, Fits 16 and 18 Gauge Wire

This almost got thrown away. It was at the bottom of the big brown sack. So product good, packaging bad.

This review will be pretty similar to my review for the smaller wire rounder burr from Beadalon because I bought the other one first, then realized it was for smaller gauges of wire, and went back and got this one too. I find they perform about the same. I am getting into wire work so I bought a Beadalon bracelet loom and I also bought a wire jig, and reading the instructions for these, I realized that I needed this item (and the corresponding battery operated bead reamer, which is also available on Amazon). The existence of this item actually solved a puzzle for me. I have been playing with wire for some time but I always had issues getting poked/scraped by the ends, no matter how nicely I tried to tuck them under other bits of my work. How nice to know there is an item designed to round the ends! This is easy to attach to the battery-operated bead reamer (sold separately). It doesn't come loose unless you want to remove it. It doesn't take long to smooth out the cut end(s) of the wire. The battery operated reamer is not exactly the most powerful device, but then again, this is a review of the burr rounder attachment and not the reamer. This is good for 16 gauge wire and smaller. I've been using it on bare, uncoated copper and it is fine for that. I tend to stick to this one for 16-18 gauge and use my other one for 20 gauge and smaller, as I feel the fit and effect are better if the attachment sizes match up. Anyway, this is convenient for making wire elements that don't poke you and so are more comfortable to wear. It is easy to use. I bought this to use on my reamer to smooth the ends of earring wires I make, so it won't scratch anyone's ears when they put them in. They also work good on other types of jewelry wherever you snip the wire. I recommend for anyone who makes jewelry or other wire projects.

a problem with it is that it is made to go only with their reamer. I did solve the problem however by scoring and removing the red plastic covering. It now fits with my electric reamer collets.

Don’t believe them when they say you need to use their battery operated tool. Just pop this into your favorite drill and it works like a charm.

A friend suggested this to me, as I needed a more efficient way to round my ear wires and I already had a Dremel. What a difference! So fast and easy to use. :)

Loved this cute wire rounder. Able to add tip to a small drill and easy use for a wire jewelry beginner. Easy must have and will purchase multiple sizes.

I ordered this Wire Burr Attachment to be used with the Beadalon Battery Operated Bead Reamer and I am not happy that this Burr Attachment does NOT fit the Bead Reamer, It's TOO LOOSE. They are made by the same Company BEADALON, so why won't they think ahead to make it FIT ** especially when they mentioned this WIRE BURR attachment Use with Beadalon Bead reamer --DUH! I have to add some rubber tubing around the Attachment to make it fit to the Reamer! -- 0 points to the Development design team at Beadalon.

Marvellous little attachment for my bead reamer. No more rough ends on the wire and SO easy to use. Why did I not buy this sooner ?!
