I found the Watch on sale for $23.99 and didn’t hesitate to purchase it. What a FANTASTIC buy! Casio makes quality budget Watches, and I own several that sit next to my higher-end branded Watches. The World Time offers a nice aesthetic design, an alarm function, 31 time zones with a daylight savings time toggle, a stopwatch AND timer function, and you can even set up an hourly chime. The light function ensures you have illumination in the darkest places, and with a 10-year battery life, this Watch is a no-brainer for any serious Watch collector’s wrist. With all the cool things you get, the part that is a little disappointing is that the case is a resin painted to look like metal, and the glass is just glass and not a harder substance. When the Chinese make mechanical Watches with steel cases and sapphire glass for $50, you may wonder if the Casio is worth the purchase price. It is definitely worth the purchase price. I’ve found the resign cases are resilient to bumps and bruises, and I’ve never broken the glass on one of my Casios. I also know my Casio will outlive any cheap Chinese-made knock-off Watch. Who should buy the Casio World Time? Anyone who loves sleek digital Watches and needs a lot of functionality. It’s a great looking Watch on your wrist and has every function imaginable if you travel. It’s a straightforward Watch from a brand known for its quality budget Watches. If you want something super durable, you’ll need to upgrade to a G-Shock, but for most uses, the World Time Casio will be perfect for you. Pros: Great price, great value, sleek look, and tons of functionality. This Watch offers more functions than you’ll probably ever use. The 10-year battery life is stellar. Cons: The bracelet links are hard to change, and you will need a super small screwdriver and patience. I was able to remove some links but ended up taking it to a jeweler to size.

I originally had the all black resin version of this watch, and I ended up getting rid of it as I didn’t feel much of an attachment to it. After seeing this version of the AE-1200 on quite a few wrists, I figured this would be a great watch to get, as I don’t have a whole lot of watches that have metal bracelets. Plus it was my birthday when I made the purchase for this watch, so it was perfect timing to get a new watch. Upon getting this watch, it arrived in great condition, despite being an open box deal from Warehouse. The bracelet came standard, as it seemed to be untouched and hasn’t had any adjustments made to it. I had to search up a YouTube video on how to adjust the bracelet, and it took some effort to get the right size for my wrist (my wrist is approximately 6.5 inches), but it ultimately came out nicely, and it wears nicely on my wrist. It’s not too difficult to adjust the bracelet if you have the right tools for the job. As for the features of the watch, they’re quite useful and you get a lot of them for the price that this watch is priced for. You get a world time function, 5 alarms + hourly chime, stop watch feature, and countdown timer. The alarm has a decent volume. The backlight on this watch is a nice amber coloured light, which you can set for either 1.5 seconds or 3 seconds. In addition to the world time function, you can also set 3 separate times on the Home Screen alongside your home time, and you’re able to skim through them at the touch of a button without having to change to the world time mode. The map is a nice touch too, highlighting the corresponding time zone based on the city you selected when setting your times. The size of the watch is approximately 42 mm in diameter, so it may be a big watch for those with smaller wrists, but for my 6.5 inch wrist, it’s not too big. I’d also say that this version of the watch wouldn’t look too bad to wear during a formal occasion as well, as the metallic look gives it a more dressy look. So it’s a very flexible watch to wear for both casual and formal occasions. 100 metres of water resistance is more than enough for the average person, so this watch is capable of taking some splashes. However, since it isn’t dive-certified, one should take caution when taking this watch into the water. The only flaw that this watch has are the materials. The bracelet and case-back are stainless steel, but the case itself is resin painted in silver (similar to the case material on the black AE-1200). This was probably done to keep the costs lower, but, it’s not a problem for me. Overall, this is a great watch for the price it goes for, and I’d say it’s worth the purchase. Only time will tell how well this watch will hold up.
