I’ve used a lot of scanners over the years (including higher-end professional tools), and the Innova 5610 really surprised me for the price. This is NOT just a basic code reader. It pulls codes from multiple systems like ABS, SRS, and transmission—not just the engine—which is huge if you’re actually diagnosing problems instead of guessing. The bi-directional controls are the biggest standout. Being able to activate components (fuel pump, fans, etc.) makes troubleshooting way easier and can save you from throwing parts at a problem. That feature alone puts it above most scanners in this price range. Live data is solid and easy to read, and the graphing feature helps when tracking down intermittent issues. I’ve used it on both domestic vehicles (Ford trucks) and imports, and it handled most things without issue. The app integration is also a nice bonus. It gives repair suggestions and lets you save reports, which is helpful if you’re working on multiple vehicles or documenting issues

Excellent scanner. I was using a cheaper version to find basic codes, but it just isn't cutting it. This thing has two-way communication and will read live sensors, wheel speeds, ABS, and it will activate 12v system controls with on-demand testing. It has already saved me most likely thousands at a shop, because now I can pinpoint problems myself and just order the parts I need, without the mystery chasing and replacing. Love it!

Excellent scanner. Lots of features. I expect to have this for many years. I needed a bi-directional scanner to release an electric parking brake (EPB) . It worked perfectly.

Wife's car, a 2012 Camry threw a CEL. Within a few seconds of plugging it in, I had a trouble code and it showed cam advance unexpected or something to that effect. Ran a test for the VVL system to phase the cams back and forth, and it seemed to do what it was supposed to, so calling it a fluke and cleared the code. Went through other areas and cleared a couple more minor codes it reported. Disappointment, it couldn't clear the maintenance required light (related to oil changes) - but instead provided the instruction. My car, a 2019 Mustang GT, no CEL or anything, but was curious if it had anything. Sure did. I recall maybe a few months back, I had overfilled the gas tank more than usual and the engine sort of hiccupped and then I got a ton of dash warnings about different systems not working. Well, those showed up in the scanner. Quickly cleared them. The part I wish it could do was that it showed some data sections that were grayed out and unable to edit; one in particular related to tire revolutions per mile, something I need to adjust as I got slightly larger diameter tires recently, would be helpful. For the price, and considering one can hit a autoparts store and pull codes for free, it's a bit hard to swallow the cost, but, I also like playing with things, so this kind of fits the in between of it being a tool and an expensive toy/tinker. I will say it was easy to use; I didn't need to read a manual, just connect it to the ODB-II port and it powers up and starts scanning for ECU modules to then check for codes.

At this point in time, this is a fantastic tool. I say this because of the free extended analysis and recommendation provided by the app on your phone. The tool collects the data and generates a report on your phone that is extremely helpful in diagnosing and repairing car problems. The tool itself is a very well made product with an easy to see display. Feels solid. It connects quickly and provides the scanner data that we expect to see when connected to the car. I am not a mechanic, but I am not afraid to dig into mildly complicated repairs and maintenance. I bought this tool when I had a check engine light come on during some rough engine idling. I suspected ignition coils. The tool scanned and reported a cylinder misfire, the data then transferred to my phone via Bluetooth. The app the generated a report which recommended replacing ignition coils and spark plug. This was spot on. After replacing the coils and spark plugs, the engine ran fine. I cleared the codes and the car has been running perfectly. I saved a thousand dollars on this repair. No joke. While tools like these are useful, the data they generate require experience to understand. This is where the app really shines. It cuts to the recommendation without having to understand all the nuances. Subsequently, I have taken some time to learn about scan tool modes and data from various YouTube videos and this has really enhanced the experience using this tool. Trust, but verify, you know. I am very satisfied with this scan tool and the free repair application. As long as the app remains free, this is a very useful tool. You can learn a lot and it works better than any other scan tool I have owned. Highly recommended.

Haven’t tried it 100% cause I still need to learn about using it but it’s a pretty cool gadget if you don’t want to spend 1k on a fancy scan tool, this does more than those other cheap scan tools, led readability is good and clear, definitely bang for your money, just read the manual if you don’t know how to use it, but it’s easy to use

This is a high quality scanner that works perfectly with all my cars, especially my gmc where I’ve tried some other Chinese brands that claim to access all the modules and service options and they don’t. Also those cheap brands are very unstable on the vehicle and lock up often making it very difficult to work with, bottom line pay the price and be happy with the results instead of wasting time with junk….I've used this brand for over twenty years and always come back to it for updated equipment.✌️
