PlayShifu Word Wiz – Plugo Letters Learning Kit | Build Reading, Spelling & Grammar Skills for Kids Ages 4–10

This is the perfect kit for back to school! Our kids love the interactive games and storylines. It keeps them engaged for sure. Tip: make sure to follow the set up exactly and let the gray calibrate so that the letters register correctly. If you don’t, it gets really touchy and some of the letters don’t register. We also thought it would be better if the pad was one panel less or move the tray up one panel so that it doesn’t sit on the edge/so far from the screen. The pad with panels just seems a little too long but it isn’t the worst thing just takes up a bit of space. We do also wish the tray was bigger but it’s not the worst. We have the kids lay the letters out on the table to help them find them quicker than digging through the tray. Other than that, we love it. It’s definitely worth the price. Plus it’s semi compact so can be easily packed and accompany you on your travels. We love that we can set up different kid profiles and it customizes the games for the player. The color scheme is great too!

After doing some online search, I came across a children's game that appeared to be both entertaining and educational. As a parent, I value the benefits of gaming for children, while also prioritizing the inclusion of educational content. The game in question is known as Plugo and is developed by PlayShifu. Specifically, we opted to purchase the spelling and grammar kit. The setup process was relatively straightforward, with the most time-consuming aspect being the creation of an account. We utilized our daughter's Amazon tablet to access the game, which is compatible with a wide range of platforms. Although we needed to remove the tablet from its protective case, the game provides a secure holder for the device. The game mat is foldable and equipped with magnetic components to secure the letter tiles. Plugo offers a range of engaging activities that enhance vocabulary, foster letter recognition, develop problem-solving skills, and improve hand-eye coordination. The game is adaptable to various grade levels and targets key language concepts such as phonics, pronouns, spelling, sight words, prepositions, nouns, and verbs. I am pleased to report that my 7-year-old daughter has spent over an hour engrossed in these educational games, demonstrating sustained interest and enjoyment. As a parent, witnessing her engagement and learning is truly gratifying. Plugo is designed for children aged 4-10 and features customizable learning levels to cater to individual needs. I’m a grandmother of 4 young, busy and curious children ranging from 8 to 2. I’m always looking for toys that are not only appeal to a wide age group but that is also educational and engaging. Plugo fit the bill on this one. We received the Piano as a prize and decided to give the letters and numbers a try as well. First I have to say the quality of the product is very nice and our Samsung tablets fit perfect. The downloadable app was very easy to install and allows you to customize the learning levels according to age or learning levels. My grandson loved the letters as he’s in kindergarten and is eagerly learning to read. It is fun to hear his delight when he learns a new word. He also tried the numbers and loved the space ship app. My 8 and 6 year old granddaughters are both excited to give the piano a try as they are both learning to read music. My youngest granddaughter who is 2 loved playing with the piano as well. She has a bit more to go before she’ll get a chance to use this system but, it’s nice to know a quality toys will be waiting. We are hoping to try out more of the sets like the plugo link, slingshot, steer and orboot. Thank you Plugo for a quality, educational and engaging toy.

I can’t believe you can get such a system for this price. The box this comes in is made for easy set up and storage, the flaps on the box have a magnet that shuts and secures the pad and letter tray really nicely. You can get this up and running and connected to the app in less than a minute. My 7 year old niece is dyslexic and has a little trouble reading and this gets her engaged, learning and having fun all at the same time. The games are pretty cool, crossword and fill in the blank type stuff, etc. The only problem is getting the iPad camera and the letter tray lined up, you might have to fiddle around with it to get it just right. You would expect this to be around $100.00, and I’ve seen it on Macy’s for $55.00-$60.00. If you grew up in late 80’s early 90’s like me it will remind you of touch typing for beginners. The repetition will help any kid in elementary school. My niece can set it up and put it away on her own any time she wants. I hate to put a screen in front of a little kid but I think this really helps out and will make them a better reader and speller.

I got this for my 4 year old and she loves it. The set up was really quick and easy. The app also works nicely, my daughter can navigate it herself and have a good time playing independently. We did have an issue with some of the letters not working but it may have been user error. Overall I think it’s great. A fun way to learn how to spell and sound out words other than typical flash cards and repetition. It also seems sturdy. I don’t worry about wear and tear

ACTUAL REVIEW....its been 2 days & im iffy about the product...i honestly think it would be a great tool. I have a 5 year old starting kindergarten and I like how it tells him the letter along with the sound it makes as soon as he puts down the letter...BUT I'm nervous this is going to give out once the amazon return window closes...not sure if it was my tablet (fire hd 8 - 2018 version), I could not get the app itself to download, then when it said it was downloaded I couldn't open it..i restarted the tablet and was able to get it rolling..i think the blue mat is VERY SENSITIVE. it needs to be laid completely flat, i tried to raise the tablet end up higher onto a box for better view but then it said it couldn't find the box that contained the letters...as you see in my video, it was going well but near the end...the 2nd to last slot wasn't reading the letter even though my son had it correct. Then later the 4th slot wasn't picking up the letter I dropped in it. I like how the app gives clues to the word but then in the photo you see the bubble is blank but luckily in the corner was a cheat clue...the picture with the girl on the chair...the word was PAINT...EVEN I COULDNT SOLVE THAT WITHOUT THE CHEAT BUTTON

My child owns the Playshifu Earth and Mars which he loved but like most things, grew out of at this point. He is an advanced speller 3 grades up and stumbling up on this product was great to help him keep the momentum at school. Well, it’s nothing like the other 2 Playshifu products we own. In fact, the brand isn’t even Playshifu which tells me it’s one of those stretches companies make to expand product line at the cost of quality/original brand. This piece of junk is so frustrating even for an adult, wasn’t compatible with our iPad Pro, Amazon fire 2024 or any of the tablets we have at home. And you need to aim the camera is aligned to “see” the letters. How in the world do they expect that level of precision from kids? I had bought 2, one as a gift too but surely going back. Now I’ve just wasted my time ordering, returning and also writing this review for nothing. Hopefully, someone else out there saves themselves the trouble

We are a homeschooling family that focuses on learning through play. We love to make learning exciting through different ways to engage the learner. I have been looking for a great way to make spelling/ grammar fun and so glad I came across Plugo. My kids were excited to open the box and it was an easy set up. You set up the base and the machine on the magnetic part of the base and it clicks so easily. The app engages the kids in a friendly and upbeat way that gets them excited for their lesson. I found this was great for a wide range of ages in which my 3, 5 and even 9yo were excited to learn and play. My 9yo finds spelling a little harder than math so he has always been hesitant but not with Plugo! We have started to use this for our homeschool lessons. You can even make a profile for each child to track their progress. You can pick what grade you want for your child to determine how hard or easy you want it. My 5yo has an easier time with recognizing words so he does 1st grade reading. My 3yo does Pre-k and it is age appropriate for all of them. There are different games to keep them engaged and my kids will pick a favorite. If you are homeschooling this year (2020), this is a great addition to learning materials!

The plugo letter set was super quick and easy to set up. My 4 year old loves that the app is interactive and talks to him as he learns to spell out word - he spent ages flicking through each of the games and uses it often. Definitely a fantastic learning through play tool.
