This is my second time buying this. We have two violins in our home and my son is currently trying to learn and this item has helped him. He plays clarinet so trying to learn the violin it can be confusing at first with the finger placements. This has been a great tool for him to use for practice. It does stick well and didn’t leave any residue. Clear instructions for application as well. And if you apply it correctly each mark is in tune. True to size.

Perfect for practice lessons

I have been making violins for a while now, my own single maker instrument in the photos. I have had questions about finger tabs and guides, so I tested them out. This one is the winner in my personal and professional opinion.Ease of installation is very easy, there is a QR code for an installation video. I recommend following it for best success. It is important to know that the decal is single use only. After 30 minutes it cannot be removed without the decal stretched out of shape. Also don’t press the wings down until sure it is positioned correctly.I use a D’Addario tuner (can see it left of neck) to confirm violin is in tune and to check the position on the label. I am amazed by how accurate the decal is. Instructions do mention trimming the top of the label by small amount if not on tune, but I have not had to do that to get spot on results.If you have to remove it, my experience is residue free. However, if there is a little, you can use the decal to press on the residue and lift to remove it.I am quite happy with the results and will recommend it for those that ask me about a finger guide.

Can see it clearly while playing, and installation was easy. Only wish it included all of 3rd position and 4th position. But definitely a great starter.

this thing is great! you can't see the letters too well when you play, but it still is a good visual guide for where to put your fingers if you have an idea of what notes are on each string. I've been practicing songs while holding it like a mandonlin/guitar to get a little muscle memory down before putting my bow to it- and i found the sticker super helpful for that!I even accidentally stuck it a bit in a spot i didn't want it...but it peeled off easily and I was able to fix it. Will write back if/when I take it off.

This is a good product, but unfortunately it wasn't as easy to put on as it shows, on the Fantastic Finger's website video. And the other drawback is that it is a one use item. But overall it is a good product and I will probably buy another one when I upgrade my violin. The material does not leave a sticky residue when you remove it.

So I will not lie to you, when I first opened them I was thinking "what the uckfway did I order the wrong thing". But these are perfect. A little misaligned but I chock that up to each violin being differently unique. Fit both my full size violins just as it should, clear and easy to read even from a playing position. And the side notation and tips are very useful reminders for beginners. Time will tell if they last long enough for the price.

This is far better than just adding tape and everything is so clear for learning violin!I wasn't sure it was worth the cost but after putting it on and seeing how much easier it is to learn with this, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again!

I was very happy with this product. I also ordered and received the fingerboard tape for my cello. What's awesome about this product is that the tape includes positions for both sharps and flats and half steps. It also identifies placement for First, Second and Third Position. I had to be careful putting on the tape and if you scan the QR code - the seller has made a short instructional video which shows you exactly how to do this. I was super impressed with both the product and the fact that the seller explained how to install the tape and gave warnings about not letting the tape set on the instrument longer than 15 mins before final placement. Great little product and cheaper than it's immediate competition. Have used ones from other sellers on Amazon which weren't as good as this one. Very impressed - and I've been practising my violin more now as well.
