RAM Mounts RAM-B-230U Double Ball Adapter Compatible with RAM B Size Components

Very good item.

I'm a Ham Radio operator and enjoy carrying a handheld unit in my car; but the stock Lido Radio wedge mount didn't elevate the radio's mount far enough above the gear-shift lever for comfortable use. So I added this double-ball adapter and a Ram medium-length extension to the Lido mount's standard arm, then the HT mount to the top of the Ram arm. Now I can position my HT and its speaker-mic in just the right position for easy use without interfering with the car's controls. Installation is a no-brainer, and everything stays firmly where I need it. Recommended. Don't understand why Amazon asked me to rate "suction", since that isn't a feature of the double-ball device.

I wish I had found these years ago. I kept using adhesives and other things to try and mouse items such as monitors in my vehicle and all those did was ruin my dashboard. With RAM Mounts, they have so many additions to their setup and now I have several of their products including this one that gives me the maneuvering and mounting for my equipment. If I need something in the future mounted, RAM mounts will be my first and only choice. Their customer service is top notch. I spoke with a representive over the course of a week or two explaining all of my needs and what equipment I was working with including what vehicle I was using them. They suggested several different products, including this one here. Everything they suggested worked out great. I'm still using these mount items today and plan to buy more to use with my remote mower so I can hook up a trailer and camera equipment.

This piece allows the connection between multiple RAM arms. Using this you can gain both length and flexibility in positioning. It does exactly what it looks like it does, and works perfectly. This works well enough for connecting and articulating two RAM mounting arms. It's certainly not as tight or sturdy as just having one longer arm.

I have several Ram Mounts I purchased and used over the last few years. So I was able to come up with a window shield mount to attach a camera to the inside of the windshield of my Corvette. But I need to be able to twist it around a bit more than I could using the spare parts I had on hand. This double ended ball made it work. It is the normal Ram Mount quality which is to say great. The only problem with ordering a Ram Mount products is sorting through the 100's of items they make to find just what you need. Go to the Ram Mount web site and figure out what mount and parts of mounts you need and them come back here to Amazon to get them cheaper than full retail off Rams website. Charles

I'm using RAM mounts solutions for a long time now, I am using them both as a ball base with four screws and an attachment arm + a "power-magnet" attached to it as a magnetic base for my Nexus 7 tablet in the car and it is rock steady and solid, does not move not a tiny bit during any bumps on the road. I'm using ball joinst, bases and double arms (short sockets) with the ball adapter above to create a super flexible speaker arm mount for my car mid-tweeters and just as the tablet - they are super strong and rock steady. very nice soloution for all kind of transportations forms starting from bicycles to bikes via all kind of automotive to marin and as well I believe avaition. Highly recommended advanced mounting systems
