can you fix the speaker to the stand to avoid it falling if bump into it?

There is no mechanical device equipped with this stand to attach the speaker to it. It comes with round rubber pads that you stick to the top of the platform and then set the speaker onto those pads. The pads are very grippy and hold the speaker securely. One would have to really bump into the speaker/stand to knock it off. I have purchased 2 sets of these stands for my equipment. They are a very good product which I can highly recommend.

I have a pair of elac 6.2's. they are 11 inches deep and 7.75 inches wide. the stand top plate seems wider. will the elac look odd sitting on these?

Can you take the feet off the top so it's completely flat? Speakers i want to put on it are round and small, so the feet wouldn't be under them.

There are no feet on the top this top piece is a flat quarter inch piece of safety glass. Which adds to the problem of attaching speaker to the glass. If you buy the stands they need to be modified because on the base there’s not enough weight in the speaker stand with a speaker on it becomes top-heavy. When you purchase these take into account you’re gonna have to do some modification.
