Essential Calculus: Early Transcendentals, Enhanced Edition (with WebAssign with eBook Printed Access Card for Multi-Term Math and Science) (Available Titles CourseMate)

This book is exactly like the description my seller Lo_Cost said it would be! The book is in very nice condition for $35 (my $140 one from the bookstore that got stolen -.- wasn't even in this nice condition). I have a test Monday and needed this book to arrive quickly so I chose expedited shipping for two dollars more. I ordered it around 5:00 PM or so on the 13th, the order shipped the next day (14th), and I received it today (16th) with the mail around 2:30! Dang, that was some fast shipping. I will definitely buy books from this seller again if they have the ones I need.I'm mighty thankful that they had this book for so cheap (more than $100 off the used retail) and provided such quick shipping!!!!! :)On that note, make sure you read the description for the product. This title says it comes with the access code, but that is only if you buy it brand new. If you read the used description, it will say that it does not have the access code. This is understandable; the book companies make the codes available for one-time use, so why a person would think that they could get a used book with an access code is beyond me. Once I had a customer complain about a mis-organized product (they thought they were getting a boneheads raincoat even though the description said it was a boots&barkley) then try to blame it me falsely advertising! NO >:(! It is the consumers fault if the product they ordered is faulty when they don't read the description. Sometimes computers make you choose the wrong option because the right one isn't available. That's why there is a why to actually describe the product. Be responsible and read it.

I used Calculus Early Transcendental Functions by Larson, et. al. for a previous calculus course and found that book to be more useful than this book that I had to buy for a 6 week calc 3 course. This book's aim is to be concise for the scientist and engineer because calculus books are too big and bulky for the student but it lacks useful examples that would have been beneficial. There are errors in the answers for the book and some of the questions and sections are poorly written. Many a time I had to turn to the solutions manual or online help to figure out what a question was asking.

This product arrived in the "new condition" stated on the site page. Since I have to take three calculus classes this book was well worth the cost as it has all I need. The only thing I disliked was the fact that the access card is glued to the cover. As I removed the card it tore the back cover. Overall I think this book is well worth the money and ships quickly.

the good: lots of good problems to do.the bad: almost no explanation of HOW to do the problems. in the description of the book it states that the author was aiming to be concise... well he way over shot. a little more explenaiton/ examples would be nice.

The description said it came with an access card to webassign. It didn't. Guess who have to pay an extra $79 to buy a separate access code. I would just buy a new book with the code or buy the access code and the ebook next time.

This book says that it includes webassign. it doesn't. I received the book without a code. It even says that it has a code on the front of the book. IT DOESN'T.I called the publisher. they told me to call amazon. they didn't help. i can't get a refund and send my book back because i need it for my class. This is crap.DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this text. Hands down, it's the best calculus text I've ever worked from or seen as a student or a tutor. Stewart's presentation with worked examples makes each topic approachable and accessible to students of all levels (provided they have adequate preparation in math).Rumor has it that a new edition will skyrocket the price, but I'd highly recommend this edition as an alternative if that comes to pass.

I received the book in a timely fashion and in good condition. But, the book did NOT come as described. the WebAssign Access card was missing, which was the main reason I bought this product.
