Anyway, I'm keeping them because they're the only game in town if you want to wear your suspenders under your shirt and I'd recommend that anyone give them a try, if you don't have a fat gut like I do, they just might work. As far as the company's other products, I've had a pair of their HD suspenders that I use with jeans and they are great.

They work on top of a undershirt
They put more stress on the back and shoulders than a normal pair of suspenders, and cause more movement of an undershirt in the front and back. But, and this is a large but, they work well, and have far less abrasive adjustment devices than many suspenders. If you get skin irritation from normal hardware rubbing or pinching, go with these. As to the title of the review: I haven't tried them without one.

Comfort all year round
I had drawstring and elastic waste band clothes that I just couldn't wear, I had to constantly pull them up. These are great and now what were my most uncomfortable clothes are comfortable. I bought both the two clip side metal clip type and the four front and back plastic clip type. In the future I will probably only buy the side clip style with the plastic clips, The plastic clips are more comfortable against the skin and the side straps don't irritate. There's nothing down the chest, they fit like a shoulder holster.

Failing apart
Got these suspenders on the 6th of April .....it is now the 16 th of May...the stitching has came loose in more than one place, completely loose on the right side connector, so basically a month later they are unwearable... I don't do construction or any crazy physical labor so I either got a bad set or the whole design itself is bad..either way don't waste your money.

Connector Turns Sideways
1.5” hip clip suspenders: The elliptical metal connector turns sideways instead of holding the two parts evenly. Pain in the butt

Work great
Hold up my pants while my gut tries to push them down. Comfortable. I can feel them against my skin, but not irritating. Hopefully they will stay that way over time. The holding power with those pins is excellent.
