Does the job. Easy install, second unit we have here. It’s a tad noisy, but that’s fine

Designed and delivered as specified. Instructions clear making installation easy. Application is in a library between main entrance doors for handicap door open application. Works well to prevent cold air from rushing in from the outside. Mag switch was easy to install and operate fan motor. Blower motor more than adequate for this application.

The unit is easy to install, I mounted mine outside my lanai door. HOWEVER, it is loud. I measured the noise level right around 51 decibels. Now that may be what the manufacture says and that's fine. BUT, at 51 decibels that is still too loud to keep running if you want to leave your door open as I do. But, for intermittent use like entering and exiting it's fine.

I chose this air curtain based on other reviews, CFM‘s, size, availability and price. I have three dogs that are constantly going in and out of the backyard through the sliding doors. I’m constantly getting blackflies and mosquitoes. This year I started getting more hornets and bees. I read some reviewers had placed the unit outside and were happy with the results. I installed the curtain outside of a sliding door and under a covered patio. There is no direct rain or snow. I chose this model (of the 3 from this manufacture) based on the CFM‘s and wanted to make sure to kept out flying insects. The trade-off was increased decibels. The installation was easy, IMO. I added the magnetic switch, and I’m glad I did. Due to the screen door between the unit and the sliding door I had to install the magnet wires above the tracks. An extra hour I hadn’t anticipated. So far the unit is working as expected and keeping out the flying insects. My only complaint is the noise level is a little higher than I anticipated. The unit is rated at 56 dB. However, because of the location of the unit, I measured between 66 and 80 dB depending on where you’re standing. That’s in the Low mode. But poor planning on my part does not constitute less of a rating for this product. But keep that in mind if noise is a concern. The reality is that the noise is no louder than the 24 inch industrial floor fan I’ve been using for years and definitely more effective.

I live on a farm and the flys get annoying when spring starts, my garage gets swarmed! This has been a life saver....we put it over our garage door coming into the house, and not one flying insect has entered the house nor have I had as many in my garage. Going to buy another one for over the front and back doors.

Just put it up at the door to my garage, so yet to see how effective it will be in keeping the flys, mosquitoes, gnats, etc., out. Top row of 3 support screws are in a wood header; bottom row I used Wall Driller pieces. Was a little cumbersome installing the three bottom screws (that prevent lateral movement). The mag switch stopped working for a bit, but ok once I cleaned the faces with alcohol. Next steps: (1) hide the cord; (2) fine tune angle of air flow. 9/15/24 Update 1: Dropped to 3 stars as mag switch continues to show unreliability, i.e., fan keeps running even after door is closed. 10/22/24 Update 2: Replaced flimsy mag switch with a different brand. This new one is much larger, in terms of face area (nearly twice as much). Working better so far.

DIYers it's an easy install. Installed on my own. It is a bit heavy. Used the power source from the lighter exit sign above door to power it. Good quality and shipped quickly. Purchased a 36in one in the past and it came with the plunge style micro switch and this 48in one did not. It came with a magnetic style switch. Still good air curtain with good air movement for a commercial kitchen rear door.

Great! A bit expensive, and a little loud. Pushes allot of air. Used for 4th celebration to keep flies out,, worked amazing, even with 30-60 people in-out, abundance of food and kids, two maybe three flyies made it in the house in a 8-10 HR span. Made all feel better about eating!! Just more comfortable. Thank you Lord thank you Jesus.
