I love crushed tomatoes - a beautiful blend of zesty goodness with just the right consistency and texture. The thickness and consistency is right in between tomato sauce and tomato paste, making it perfect for a rich spaghetti sauce. This product is fresh, flavorful, and has excellent taste. That’s what I look for in a food product. I look for a fair price, taste, freshness, and quality - that’s real value!

The flavor is savory and slightly sweet, with subtle notes from the dehydrated onion, celery, and peppers. Whether I’m making soups, chili, pasta sauce, or tossing them into a quick stew, they deliver dependable taste with minimal effort. One of the things I really appreciate is the clean, straightforward ingredient list: Cut tomatoes, tomato juice, sugar, sea salt, dehydrated onions, dehydrated celery, dehydrated peppers, spices, calcium chloride, and citric acid. No artificial preservatives or colorings No high-fructose corn syrup No added oils or mystery ingredients Vegetarian and pantry-stable Calcium chloride is used to help the tomato pieces hold their shape—it’s safe and common in canned tomatoes. Citric acid just balances the acidity and helps with preservation. Compared to many other brands, this one keeps it simple and real. This used to be sold under the Happy Belly brand, and while the packaging has changed, the quality is the same. I now buy these in multi-packs and always keep a few cans stocked. I made a huge pan of lasagne using the crushed tomatoes from Amazon and an extra side of "Italian gravy". I've been cooking for at least 55 years. This was hands down the best I've ever made. I can only attribute it to the tomatoes. The flavor and consistency was perfect...nice and thick after cooking the sauce for an hour or so with the correct spices and combined cooked lean ground beef Once layered with cheeses and noodles....Voila! The flavor was very much like the San Marzano variety of tomatoes. Low acid and a slightly sweet flavor. I made an extra side of seasoned gravy to top the dish after it was baked to perfection.

I love tomatoes and I’m very fussy when picking canned! I discovered these by accident one day when I was out as needed for a recipe, didn’t have a way to the store atm, so I ordered these on next day. I was surprised that these “no name” generic tomatoes tasted soo good!? And the price is perfect!! They’ve been a monthly purchase for me, (specifically the crushed tomatoes in purè) which are so good all you need is some evoo a bit of seasons and with one can? You have an amazing tasty sauce! Not too sweet just right! Sadly? I’ve noticed my favorite ones (the crushed in pure 14 ooz) appear to be sold out? I really hope these weren’t a one time thing?? Being these back!!

I normally buy another more expensive brand of "Kitchen Ready" Ground Peeled Tomatoes. Those sell for around $5 a 28 oz can and are excellent for pizza and pasta sauce. While a tad spendy I felt it was worth the price as I always end up with a great end product. On my last order I saw the Amazon Grocery Crushed Tomatoes for only $1.54 a can and ordered some of those just for "back up" in case I ran short. Just out of curiosity I decided to open a can of the more expensive tomatoes alongside a can of the Amazon product to see how different they were. Appearance; They look the same. Fragrance; Yeah...they smell the same. But what about flavor? I could not tell any difference. These Amazon Grocery Crushed Tomatoes are not only a great quality product but an amazing value. Like I said...they seem to be virtually identical the "Kitchen Ready" brand that cost OVER three times as much.

I really like these stewed tomatoes! Will definitely purchase again. These genuinely taste better than competitive brands, and are way more affordable. I am pleasantly surprised. Tomatoes are red, ripe, well seasoned, and mostly intact inside the can in thick slices. They added much needed sweetness and depth of flavor to my chicken cacciatore.

This a very good product for the price and taste is very good. This was my first time ordering from Amazon Grocery. I would recommend.

Low price compared to stores great for making soup. Like the pull tab on it makes it easier.
