Pleasantly sturdy given the price
Fits my square firepit perfectly and has stood up to several big blazes. Great comfort feeling to be able to go to bed after a fire and not worry about those last few “pops” causing a problem. No rust so far (2 months, several rains and morning dew). You’ll need some sort of stick or pole to remove it from a hot fire as the hook on top is metal and conducts heat.

Fit: Size Could Be Bigger
We purchased this to fit on top of our 30" x 30" square fire pit. When received, we are happy with the quality and construction of this. Future purchasers should know this screen is also exactly 30" x 30" which means it barely fits/stays on top of the fire pit. I had to pull/bend the sides out a bit for it to stay on top, which seems to work OK. Wish it were possible to order 31" x 31".

Good products. Worth the money in my view.
Well made. Steel is heavier than I expected it to be---nice surprise. As you can see it is a good looking unit. One person can assemble most of the unit with no help. However. When attaching the hood. You need a second pair of hands to support the hood while you align the holes and start the bolts. The unit does not come with the spark screen or the cover for the pit to keep water out of the bowl when it rains. So I ordered them separately. The cover for the bowl is a cooking grill that is 30 x 30, on top of which I placed a thin rubber mat i got from home depot---cut to size to sit on top of the grate. I got the spark screen from the pit seller because it is partially located under the slat roof of my cedar pergola. I can put the screen on if sparks rise out of the the unit too close to the roof. All in all I am very satisfied with the whole thing. It looks so nice I am almost reluctant to burn anything in it. Fall and winter is getting close though. We will see.

Its a straightforward mesh firepit cover
Had a 24" x 24" firepit and needed a finer mesh screen to make it useable according to our bylaws. This one wasnt even made to fit out pit specifically or anything and it fits around the edges just fine. Mesh is fine enough that it catches a large majority or the sparks and ash that occur. Came very quickly and simple enough, its just in a single large box. Obviously it was useable right out of the box. It may warp a bit due to the heat but still fits just fine. I think we've used it for 5 or 6 fires at this point and its more or less the same as it was when I took it out of the box.

Poor quality finish
This was a perfect fit as a replacement to the one that came with my fire table. I had hoped that at this price the finish would be better but it's not. After 2 fires the finish is flaking off and there is rust starting. The fire table sits under a canvas waterproof cover when not in use. I'm not impressed at having to sand it down and paint it after only 2 uses.

Good quality replacement screen
Good quality wire mesh fire screen, dimensions as described. Should be more durable than the cheap expanded mesh screens that come with most backyard fireplaces.
