Does all it needs to do which is funnel dense smoke into an area quickly and efficiently. Takes a bit of getting used to and some tips such as turning it on to start airflow before attempting to light the chips helps massively. It has a single button which starts and stops the airflow, I'm sure more expensive options have more features but I'm not sure what more you could want.Cant say I was a fan of the provided woodchips but very nice to have some included so you can test immediately, much preferred the hickory chips i later got a hold of. Have so far smoked some cocktails, soup and cottage cheese but looking forward to contructing a box for the purposes of trying to smoke fish. May update review when I do.

After reading the reviews online where this had best value for money I have to say it’s a pretty good bit of kit. I smoked a ham hock for 2 days adding smoke to the sealed bowl I made at home and the smoky flavour was lovely.I’m a chef by trade and have used the expensive ones before with the same result.If your ready for that next level smoky bbq flavour with an oven cook this is just perfect.I’m extremely happy with my purchase. 👍

I was quite excited to get this as i enjoy smoked flavour but as i live in a dense high rise flat, we cant have anything that makes this smoke flavour naturally (eg a bbq)It works really well and within SECONDS - just one major downside - bits of wood pass through the mesh and into the food and drink (see pics for details) the included chips seem so tiny that 1/5th of the pack is "powder"/sawdust - these leech through the mesh and into the pipe and smoke.I cant seem to find the right "size" replacements either, its either too thin powdery stuff or big chucks for an actual bbq - It was hinted the mesh may have been faulty when i asked a question, but i can confirm there is no fault with the mesh and ive tried both of the included ones with same results so its obviously the actual wood chips thats included being smaller then the mesh holes.It worked well with pork chops, but made cheese taste like cigarette ash! the flabour only seems to work with certain food, but you can just get other wood chips - just trying to find a set of different ones is veryu hard - seems only ones i can find are importing from the USA with high postage and custom tax.

I bought this as a present for a friend and we are both blown away by the quality of the thing. The unit has a good weight and feels like a premium product.Was bought with the intention of adding a little extra flavour to some whiskey cocktails and it works perfectly. All you need to do is put the tube into your container with the whiskey (above the surface of the liquid) and seal the top of the glass (we used kitchen foil or cling film for this). We have been leaving it for about 5 minutes to absorb the smokey flavours and the results are amazing.It comes with a small bag of wood chips but we also bought a big container of them from Amazon too.Would recommend this to anyone looking for a smoker on a budget, although it doesn't feel like a budget product!

My first review of anything really. Hope it does it justice. I bought this for both work & home life. I get to experiment a lot at work and where I work within an establishment that smokes a lot of its foods I thought I could incorporate that element into drinks. So I decided to purchase this. It has been amazing. It adds to the theatre of drinking out. I know at this present time you can’t sit at the bar but you can take a smoking cocktail straight to a table and still get to see the look of your guests faces. I am very pleased with this product.

As I write this it’s been about 12hrs since I received the item and this is going to be the first order I’ve ever returned to Amazon, so let’s see how that goes. I bought this because my partner loves The Alchemist’s Smokey Old Fashioned cocktails so I wanted to recreate them for him at home. The trick to those cocktails is the specific bitters they use and oak chip smoke. At first this smoker sort of worked. Not very well; it added a tinge of smokiness, but I was surprised at how little smoke there actually was, even though I’d followed peoples tips from the reviews. It was really disappointing and then to make it even more disappointing, it simply stopped turning on. We tried a different set of fresh batteries, but no luck.

Worked well cleaned it every time, you get lots of wood oils , didn't use it for 2 month then wouldn't turn on, new batteries. I assume if you use it more it might work fine but when left for 8 weeks nothing worked.Sue to the design the machine pulls the oil towards the fan allowing oil to seep to motor , this is the only reason it could fail, the smoke was amazing perfect. I have sent it back and purchased a Sage unit double the price.You will enjoy the unit just make sure its cleaned every time.

I really like how easy to use is this smoking gun.I have tried some different models before and always have found some kind of malfunction or difficulty when using the item.I’ve purchased this item because I needed it for a culinary course but being honest I wasn’t thinking to buy any other smoking gun due to my previous experiences but I’m very happy and I will strongly recommend to try out this one if you are thinking to buy one.
