Q: Is this an exact fit or do i need to go up a size?

My medium fits well. I probably could have gotten a large and been fine as well. It did shrink a little. It really depends on how you like your sweatshirts to fit. If just for wearing around I’d say exact fit. For work or activities, I’d say size up.

Q: What is the length of size large and does it shrink much?

It didn’t shrink. I have x large and it covers my bottom but not too long. I don’t know about the large, I gave it as a gift.

Q: are the cuffs loose or tight fitting?

3 inch ribbing cuff. Definitely not loose...but, not necessarily tight. I can pull the sleeves up on my arms a bit. Hope that helps. It’s a great inexpensive sweatshirt.

Q: Why is it hand-wash only??

It’s not hand wash only - I have washed in the machine several times and it is just fine.
