S18 - USB LED IR Track Clip Pro for Track IR 5 4 Opentrack

The product only comes with 1 velcro strap. Due to the length of the slit openings, it should have come with 2 velcro straps, although, seem to be secure enough so far with just one velcro strap. Also there are no instructions on how to best strap it onto a headset. Pretty much have to perform trial and error. Had 2 straps were included, would have made for less trial and error or more secure attachment. Otherwise, product works great as advertised (using it with TrackIR 5).

I needed a replacement TrackIR clip, and this was the only product available without crazy shipping costs from the manufacturer, or rebuying the whole product. It seems to be a 3rd part clone, but gets the job done. The camera tracks the clip without issue. It does not seems a great improvement though over the original clip that I lost that has no active parts and is just a reflector. I do have a room well lit for use,. in a darker or weirder lit room I can see this product working way better than the passive clip.The cons. Unlike the 1st party product this does not come with a clip, and relies on a little strip of Velcro that did not work well with my headset. I improvised a clip, and it works way better.The 2 meter chord seems limiting in many setups. I wish it was longer. Extending USB is a pain.For the 1 star reviews, these people are uninformed. This is a pro clip to be used with a TrackIR system or similar device. Expecting this $35 package to contain the full system that is with the passive clip $180 is just being a bad consumer.

I liked very much, works flawless for my needs. Lightweight and traxks well. Would buy again if needed. I have banged it around pretty good and even broke at onetime. I plastic welded the arm back and still continues to work. Thanx seller for a great price effective product. VR is to much of an intrusion. Head tracking was the answer for me on a budget!!!

Overall, better build quality and more durable than the original Track IR pro clip. Easy installation! The only negative is the top two IR nodes have a little dead spot when you look down because they are not positioned like the original. Its not a game breaker, but it can be annoying in flight sims (probably not a issue for other sims). I want to give 4 or 5 starts, but this can be a frustrating issue and there is no fix with this design. Buy the original if you want the best possible tracking experience. The only thing with the original is you have to take care of it because it is fragile.

This LED IR clip works perfectly fine with the OG trackIR camera. It's actually BETTER then the "pro" LEDS you get from trackIR because it's WAY more sturdy. The "pro" LEDs I purchased made by trackIR was a flimsy piece of crap that broke. This unit looks 3D printed however they must have used 100% infill or maybe its printed in ABS. You may even be able to run over it with your car and it would be fine (don't do it, just trying to emphasize how sturdy this is) . I was skeptical at first because the LEDS are positioned linearly instead of in a triangle or staggered pattern. But after using it I'm glad I got it. You just need to make sure your camera is off set on the same side you are wearing the LEDS. So basically 6 inches give or take from center of your monitor/tv. But you'd have to do the same for trackIR LEDS too. I use this product with DCS.

Functions fine. Velcro strap to attach to headset is woefully inadequate. Does not secure LED strip which constantly moves. Be prepared to use additional materials to secure it. I used black electrical tape.

After years of using the IR cap reflectors I finally upgraded to these. This is an awesome device because it tracks way better than the cap reflectors. The only downside is this does take up a usb slot on your pc to power it. I have a budget gaming computer so every usb slot counts. One great benefit though is you no longer have to wear a hat while gaming, especially when it’s summertime and it’s hot.
