The Mont Blanc inks are very good to write with and their colours are exquisite. I used to prefer purple, or violet colours over blue. But the royal blue of Mont Blanc has become my favourite because it has ever so slight purple hue. Hence, the amethyst purple and the royal blue are my current favourite inks. Both are amazingly water resistant too, even though they are not sold as 'permanent'. (I tried the permanent blue of Mont Blanc, but it tends to dry in the feeder when not used daily.)

The design of the MB “shoe” bottles is excellent for dip pens and makes filling a FP mess free. I have many colors of MB ink and they’re all lovely. MB ink is not waterproof at all (except the Permanent black and blue and those smudge as well).

Love the design of the bottle. Color is a bit more plummer than the purple I like. But because its tone is a bit dark, I can sometimes use it instead of black inks when I feel like it. And I like that

Ordered this ink for my 30 year old MB fountain pen, which has never been used. Because 30 years ago, there was no internet to research where to buy ink, let alone how to fill a fountain pen. I'm almost afraid to fill the fountain pen. I tested this ink with a glass dip pen (also order from Amazon) and the ink flows beautifully. I would buy this again.

I really wanted a bright vibrant red. This turned out to be pink :( it’s going to take me a while to get through this bottle or I just wasted $26 on pink ink. I tried writing on a few different pieces of paper to see if that was the problem. It’s not. It’s pink, there isn’t enough pigment in the color to get a bright red.

Not as bright as the red on the box would suggest, a little bit more rusty. But with the right paper, this ink still packs a punch. Flows very well of course.

I recently had the pleasure to purchase my first Montblanc pen. With a new pen comes a new ink for me. I had to find my new signature pen color for writing all my notes. The purple dries dark enough to be serious enough to write a check and casual enough to share on a grocery list. I love it! Everyone I have introduced it to has loved it as well! A beautiful sophisticated shade for any need or occasion.

Its name has it all. Its both lavender & purple. Quite dark than other purple inks. Darker than Pilot Iroshizuku Yama Budo and very dark than the Murasaki Shikibu. Wet writing ink with no flow issues and very easy to clean from pen. And what to say about the bottle. MOST UNIQUE INK BOTTLE you will ever see, maybe except the Akarman bottle.

This is a premium ink. The brand and bottle design and packaging all allude this but until you actually write with it to feel how smoothly it glides onto the paper, to see how deep and saturated the colour really is, and how consistently it behaves regardless the choice of applicator and of the chosen medium.

Montblanc es garantía de calidad, y el precio es de lo más correcto. El diseño del tintero es muy acertado: bello y funcional. Me gustan las tintas de Montblanc en general, pero la poppy red es especialmente bella. Ten en cuenta que esta tinta no es permanente ni resistente al agua.
