Great quality and design
Used both to hold a Polk Monitor XT35 Center Channel speaker weighing 14lbs. It needed to be above the tv and angled down. Screwed a white melamine MDF board to the wall's studs and then drill holes in it to use 1/4-20 Hex Drive Wood inserts to attach these mounts to the board. I used the same inserts on the speaker since it only had keyhole holders. You have to be very accurate taking measurements and leveling. Bottom line, I was able to angle the speaker to my desire and the brackets handle the weight perfectly. A reviewer said that one of these wasn't holding his bookshelf speaker that weighs 10 lbs, most likely because it has too much leverage, the speaker is too deep and these were not designed for a speaker that big, regardless of its weight. My speaker is heavy but it is slim and not too deep, plus I am using both brackets; obviously I can only move the speaker in one axis, but that is all I needed. Also, the hex wrench provided is not convenient, it'll do the job, but it'll frustrate you. I used a hex bit socket and a ratchet wrench, so I could quickly tighten each screw while holding the speaker in the desired position.

Great mounts for a good price.
Needed some mount for my new outdoor speakers and was looking for something flexible and cheap. These work great and hold my kicker speakers no problem. There 6 lbs so not very heavy and these mounts could hd something twice as heavy. Very flexible and can tilt and turn the speakers a fair amount before the speaker hits the wall. If using with smaller speaker you could do 180 degrees no problem. Super easy to install and adjust with an Allen wrench.Only negative is they don't come with hardware to mount to the wall. I understand this as there so many different pieces of hardware they would have to provide to install into all the different types of walls. I used some structural wood screws to mount them through my aluminum siding into the studs. Worked great

Solid mount with easily replaced bolt if you strip it out
Pros:-Parts are metal and sturdy unlike most competitors who rely heavily on plastic.-Easy to mount-Does not come with wall anchors, however the wall-mounting holes are well enough designed that you have a lot of flexibility on what wall anchors you need for your wall (either drywall or using #10 wood screws directly into a stud).-You can easily tighten the ball enough to prevent horizontal movement or vertical sagging, unlike most other wall mounts (I'm using 8.5 lb speakers). Note that you can twist the ball either accidentally or purposefully if you want a speaker at a 45 degree angle for some reason.Cons:-The clamping screw to tighten the ball into place on the wall is some indeterminate metric size that isn't labeled anywhere. If you tighten it with a screwdriver, you're golden. Don't use the included allen wrench, it's an exercise in frustration. If you use a socket wrench to tighten it you WILL strip the threads on the bolt. Fortunately 1/4" - 20 1.5" machine screws fit nicely so it's easy enough to swap in a substitute.Overall I'd absolutely buy these again. They're easy to mount, they're trivial to level, they're not going to break, they don't sag, and the only con is that they're so sturdy the tighten-the-ball screw will strip before the mount breaks. Better a few cent screw than RMAing an entire mount if you overdo it.

Sturdy and easy to install
I had some nice speakers on shelves. When I used these to mount the rear speakers, I noticed a remarkable improvement in sound, so I immediately ordered these for the front ones as well. It's a vast difference in sound quality!!!

Works great! Notes about hardware. Pics of installation manual (2 pages)
Works great for speakers that have a threaded insert (1/4”-20 thread) in the rear of the speaker cabinet. If your speaker doesn’t have a hole in the back that is threaded for a bolt, then these mounts won’t work. Also, the mounts do NOT come with screws or hardware that attach it to your wall. I’m ok with that. There are multiple materials (drywall, studs, plaster, brick, cement, etc.) you can mount these to, and each requires a different fastener. I attached mine through drywall into wall studs, so I attached mine with #10 x 2” wood screws. I drilled pilot holes first with a 1/8” drill bit. If you mount to drywall, then I recommend drywall anchors with #8 x 1-1/4” screws. At any rate, get the right fasteners for your wall. Each mount has 2 holes. The seller should say this in the listing. It’s confusing because the listing says “ The mount comes with all the mounting hardware you need” which is just inviting confusion and resentment when you open the box and find no mounting hardware. Should also say “your speaker must have a threaded mounting hole”.

Manufactures need to make these clamps more robust for heavier speakers.
These clamps were the largest I could find. One speaker position needed to be extended past my patio door blinds which added excessive stress on the clamp and it wouldn’t hold position. I also supported the speakers with a hook and wire from the ceiling to stop gravity weight pressure on the ball clamp. I used a coupling to match the 3/8-16 threads in my speaker mounts. The 1/4-20” ball clamp threads will bend or break at exit point of ball clamp if speakers are heavier than recommended and not good if you need to extend past the thread lengths provided . 3/8-24 minimum size fine threads and 1-1/2” ball clamp minimum. The clamp thread needs to be 7/16” fine thread minimum with a full size jam nut for more holding power. All threads need to be fine threads on ball clamps and inserted metal speaker mount threads. Fine threads have more holding power.

Attention all Vizio Sound bar owners...
These are very flexible and useful mounts but will likely NOT work with the Vizio Sound bar rear or surround sound speakers. Vizio has been using very small screw holes while these mounts use much larger screws. To match the two you will need to purchase adapters. I found these for a modest cost on Amazon which will marry the two parts together. They are called M4 male to 1/4 inch 20 adapters. With this simple modification your Vizio speakers will be mountable with this product.
