Would these be strong enough to support heavy wooden drawers?

They deteriorate with time as the plastic gets brittle. Not sure they would be good to support a HEAVY DRAWER.

What size screws will li need

Hi - The screws I used were 3.5 x 13 pozidrive.

Yes they are 6mm thick, therefore, once fitted, they will stick out 6mm from the inside of the unit they are fitted to.
