Superb
Beautiful and powerful music. Patrick Watson has somehow gotten this far relatively unknown. How is this possible? This man is a genius. He is the best musician and vocalist on this planet, and it’s not even close!

Amazing, beautiful
I have loved Patrick Watson's voice since hearing his song with The Cinematic Orchestra many years ago. The first of his albums that I bought was Love Songs for Robots, which is one of my favorite albums, especially the title track. I've been looking forward to a new album since that came out, four years ago. Wave does not disappoint. It is even better than his last album, more consistently gorgeous and powerful. He has learned to use his voice like the amazing instrument it is and he is in his element with these touching, deeply emotional songs. I am almost overcome with emotion when I sit down and really listen to this album. It is full of pain, but also some wisdom and hope. I hope it was cathartic for him to make this, as I understand he went through some significant loss in his life in the last four years. I recommend this music to everyone who has a heart and an open-mind. A nice way to end a disturbing year.

Haunting, brilliant, powerful.
I’ve been a fan for years and will be for life. Patrick Watson is my favorite solo artist of all time. Beautiful music, amazing production and chilling lyrics. Buy it!

The music i have been searching for
Mixture of melody and harmonious vocals with poignant or gentle messages and then wonderful eclectic or discordant jazz or rock sounds building to magnificent climaxes. Came across him by accident for the first time live. Halfway through had a moment of epiphany and realised I had been searching for these sounds for nigh on 50 years. “Transcended” by his voice and the “sonic landscapes” he and his band create. So varied you will never be bored by his music and you will never avoid the goosebumps. But you will be bored by other music which afterwards seems so unidimensional.

Magico e suadente.
