Tricky Logic Puzzles for Adults: 130+ Difficult Puzzles to Challenge Your Brain

He loves building lego, doing puzzles and solving problems. If you like those things you'll enjoy this book. He keeps it by his bedside. Challenging enough for someone smart but not too hard that it's not fun. He likes to do them to relax, once he's finishes this book I can see him getting another one.

i got this for a father’s day gift and he loved it, didn’t know how to do a few puzzles but it explains what it is before you attempt to do it

Absolutely LOVING this puzzle book! At last, one that makes you think and is not too easy. Whilst the author says you can do them in any order, I'm a person of order so am working through them one by one. I actually enjoy it this way as you then get a variety. (No boredom!) The various types are all mixed together and are as follows:Sudoku * Masyu * Nonograms * Calcudoku * Logic Grids * CrypticMy favorites? Nonograms and Caludoku. So far I have not found the Sudoku at all challenging but I'm only at Puzzle 37. The Logic Grids are good. The Cryptic tend to vary. As for the Masyu, I still have not got my head around this type of puzzle and still have to cheat a little! Yes, answers are provided in the back. On each puzzle page there is a hint upside down at the bottom of the page. Not heard of some of these puzzle types? No worry, nor had I but there are full instructions at the beginning along with tips.I have found some errors thus far:Nonogram #27 Row 7Puzzle says 1221Answer in back of book shows 124There tends to be no pictorial answer for the Cryptic puzzle solutions, just the final answer :(Do I still recommend this book? Yes! if you are looking to sharpen your deductive skills then grab this one. The puzzles are not too long so can be completed whilst you are drinking your morning coffee etc. I like to do one whilst relaxing over my smoothie of a morning. The author does say that the puzzles become increasingly difficult as you progress. (There are 137 puzzles.) Are you ready for the challenge? I am!I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher. this is great... perfect variety of puzzles, great diffculty, good progress of levels, just perfect book. absolutely love it - so does my whole family, there are evenings we all sit in front of our books together

It's a perfect book for any puzzle solver, whether they have done these sorts before or if they are new to them. Has plenty of puzzles to work to use your time whilst at home.

I've never enjoyed every puzzle in a book as much as this one!

Although I primarily love logic grid puzzles, I've been enjoying the nice variety of material in this book. It offers 5 main types: Sudoku, Masyu (which I wasn't familiar with), Nonograms, Calcudoku (also known as Ken-Ken) and of course Logic Grid. Then there are also Cryptic Puzzles - puzzles within puzzles, that employ one of the basic formats of the 5 types mentioned, plus an additional puzzle within a puzzle or other deciphering/solving challenge that builds off of it.All in all, fun and often challenging. I forgot how much I love an occasional Nonogram - a nice change from logic grids. Many of the logic grids aren't super difficult, but enough are Intermediate or challenging enough to want some extra paper on hand.There are tiny-font, upside hints at bottom of page for each puzzle, if you need a little jump start. You can have a lot of fun with this even if you're a skilled logic puzzle solver.

It is hard to find good logic books and this is great.

This is sudoku not logic. Do not buy unless that's what you want.

The book is titled Logic Puzzles. However, some puzzles inside rely on Trial and Error instead. I wanted to be fair and contacted the author first, but he ignored all my emails. Hints, especially the Cryptic Puzzles, just gave the final solution but noway of finding out the initial solve did I do it correctly. Once stuck, you are stuck for good.What is the point in putting a website, a Twitter, and a name when people tried to contact him and he can't even see/reply?

So much fun. I got this as a Christmas gift and it's great. Definitely has some challenge while also being accessible. If you like logic puzzles this is a great book to buy.
