I got an email about certain “skunky” odors emitting from my apartment building so I did some research and found this air purifier. There is basically no set up required, you take it out of the box, plug it in, and adjust the settings however you’d like. It has 3 fan modes, on the lowest mode it is actually quieter than my tower fan across the room. On the middle mode it’s audible but not super loud. On the highest mode this thing is LOUD. I have it set up in a 575sq ft room to prevent smoke odor from creeping through my AC vents and door cracks. It sits on the bar top right behind me and I turn it on high in the morning and let it run for 25 minutes, then I have a toke. I blow the smoke over the air purifier and within about 45 seconds all the smoke is gone. Once I’m finished, I leave it going for another 25 minutes on high and then turn it down to low until I want to smoke again. This seems to do the job pretty well. They have an option to turn off the display which is helpful at night because when there is a bright blue light glowing while you’re trying to sleep it makes it tough. There is also a timer setting, which is amazing for when I smoke right before I leave. I can set the timer for it to turn off in two-hours. It’s easily portable, too, which was an important feature for me. I sometimes smoke in my bedroom if I am having pain flare ups or depressive episodes and I needed something I could easily unplug, pick up, and set on my night stand in my room. All in all, this is a great little air purifier and works well for small rooms to contain skunky smells.

Great product! I purchased one when there were wildfires that sent smoky particles in the air in our area. The Levoit worked so well, the air was so fresh and clean in that part of the house, that I bought two more to put in other rooms. We have been using them for several years. We sleep so much better as the Levoit effectively removes allergens, pollen, particles, and dust in our bedroom and I stopped coughing all night like I used to, which is wonderful. Healthy breathing is important! Easy to use, very easy to clean, high quality, quiet. Simply plug it in and turn it on. Be sure to vacuum the filters as needed (this is really simple and quick to do), the filters last a long time. We chose this model after reading the product information on square footage and this size works perfectly in the rooms we have. My mom now has two Levoits in her home as well, and I also gave one to a friend who has allergies. Excellent air purifier, highly recommend!

Love this air purifier! Bought it to reduce cat dander and it works GREAT!!!! It isn’t noisy, and easy to clean! I vacuum the filter off every few weeks. Highly recommend this brand!

An air purifier is not a complicated device. It is a fan, and an air filter. The fan pulls air through the air filter, and catches various particles and impurities in the air. As long as you have a decent HEPA filter, and a fan that has enough velocity to circulate the room air through the filter effectively, it will work to clean the air. You can build one yourself with a box fan and some high quality furnace filters and duct tape if you have to. So what distinguishes this one from the hundreds of others out there, why is it so popular? (1) Low up front costs - this has enough power to handle a small room effectively and a true HEPA filter at a pretty low initial cost. (2) Easy to live with - the fan is very quiet except on high, and even on high it isn't obnoxiously loud. Changing the filter takes about 10 seconds and is easy to do. There is a pre-filter to catch large dust/animal hair and the like which you can vacuum to extend the life of the HEPA filter for small particles. The unit itself is not huge or ugly, so it can sit in the corner of most rooms without being objectionable. (3) Available filters - this unit's extreme popularity means that there will likely be filters available for many years. (4) It does work - I bought an air quality meter after the recent wildfire smoke episode, and it shows me that this thing does a pretty good job in small rooms. In bigger rooms it will still provide some benefit, but it is really not able to move enough air quickly enough to clean a large room. Downsides: The filters are relatively small, so they will have to be changed fairly frequently if you run the unit constantly. How frequently? I don't know, your mileage will vary depending on how many pets you have, how much wildfire smoke is in your area, etc. But I would expect to buy at least two a year if comparing this to other units that may have larger filters you need to change less often. So think about the total running costs and not just the up front cost when comparison shopping here. If you are thinking about saving money by trying to run this in a bigger room than it is designed for, don't go down that road. You do need to size your unit to the area you are trying to keep clean. A large room needs a larger unit with a bigger fan and a bigger filter. Also, all of these things are quieter if not running on high. So it is better to get a bigger unit even one that handles more than you are asking it to, and then run it slower and change the filters less often versus trying to save money up front and then driving the thing as hard as it will go to barely get any benefit.

This is our second one of these. They work so well at pulling dust out of the air. The filter is easy to remove and either vacuum or take it outside, tap inside the trash can and then user a blower to clear the debris. There are several options from fan speed to timer. Also a button do darken the display so the blue led wont bother your sleep. The fan keeps good air flow This makes a great sound machine and I have a hard time sleeping without it. Most of all it does what it’s advertised to do and does it well.

Is very loud but I find the sound comforting. It has 3 power settings for airflow and I always have it on the highest one. The icon turns red on the until once it’s time to change the filter. I can’t tell much about the air quality difference but it’s large enough where I feel like it’s making a difference. It’s not too heavy but does need a solid and stable place to stay bc while it’s not too heavy, it does have weight. Overall the purifier is easy to work, clean, and replace the filter.

I love this air purifier. Highly recommend using it in a bedroom. It works in a smaller room, but does not keep up for a large space. I always close the door in the bedroom before bedtime so that it can clean the air well. The air smells and feels more crisp. It’s amazing! The fan speeds are nice because you can adjust them. You can also turn off the light at night and it will still run. I have the special filter for reducing smoke from wildfires and use this in the summer to maintain the air quality for my infant. She was coughing in the night and once we got this, she stopped coughing!

This is our first air purifier. After careful research and comparing different models, I decided this was the right one. It’s economical, user-friendly, efficient, powerful, and budget-friendly. I’m very pleased with this purchase. I did notice that this model doesn’t come with an odor neutralizer or scent compartment (which isn’t very important to me), but that’s okay. The main purpose of an air purifier is to effectively filter the air from mold, dust, dander, and other airborne particles — and this one does the job well. I highly recommend the LEVOIT Core 300 with 56W — it’s already powerful enough to pull in the unwanted particles in the air and noticeably freshen your space while delivering great air quality in your home. We started using this machine in November 2025, and I have no regrets. I cleaned the True HEPA filter once just two weeks ago, and maintenance has been simple and easy.
