Nicely sized for short to mid-range throwing. The knives are balanced and simple with good sticking power despite a lack of weight. An excellent starter set if you are just looking for quantity over expensive quality knives to get in tons of practice. I've found that throwing against harder surfaces (wood as opposed to cardboard) tends to bend the tips, so if you plan to do a lot of throwing against solid wood boards, you'll want a good hammer and something hard and flat (stone or metal bar) to straighten any bent points when you finish. The cord has unraveled from all the knives so I just removed it completely. 1 year Update: I am updating this review as I've had these knives for over a year and they remain quite handy. I've lost a couple since I got the set, but none of the knives has broken despite my heavy use. When I first got these I spent about three months doing heavy throwing primarily against boxes stuffed with old magazines, which makes for an excellent stick and prevents the tips from bending. So a year later, I definitely still recommend these as a starter kit.

They bend to easily, the red strung came off after a few uses, some of them broke after less then 30 minuts but they are sharp and cheap and easy to use but I can just bend them back and sharpen them myself

Yes, the other reviews were mostly quite accurate in regards to these knives. They do bend easily, are quite light and the cord breaks and unravels quite easily. However, on the other hand these knives are a lot of fun!! My son and I spend hours throwing these knives at targets and they do stick quite nicely. We haven't had any tips break or any thing like that. My son is just learning to throw and these work great for that. They are fairly well balanced with a great point. Because of the light weight, they are best suited for close range throwing. When the tips do bend, we just carefully bend them back. So for us, the bottom line is to know your knife and the limits of it capabilities. This is a fun, kick-around, no worries set of knives, great for BBQs and playing around. Not a knife for a serious competitions or contests. Hope this helps, have fun!

Great gift for boys. It has good balance, very sharp, and it's a great product for the price.

The Kunais are nice looking. The steel used is not the best quality steel out there but for the price i didn't expect too much. The carrying case is very sturdy but i find the orientation awkward and i don't know where i would strap it on, The straps are stretchy but after a few stretches it quickly lost its elasticity.The knives have a semi false edge. It would cut you if slide across it but it can if you put enough pressure. The points are very sharp (was able stick it in 1 cm into softer woods) I would be careful. the paint towards the tip tends to come off after some use but that is expected. The red cord on the handle is cheaply made and comes off easily. I put super glue on each end that seems to keep them from falling off. Another things is that the knives are a kinda of small. For short distances, this would be a great knife but for long distance, i would look into some of the longer throwing knives. Overall, it was a okay buy. It might be a great knife for starters but if you are veterans, i would not recommend this.

I am new to throwing knives. So I was looking for some cheap knives to start practicing. These knives where perfect for me. Tips are sharp even after throwing for over an hour into hard plywood board, and they stuck deep! Few days later took them out and stuck them into some trees and worked great, tips still sharp. Like other reviews the wrapped cord comes off the handle, it is just wrapped not tied. Plus I hit one stuck in with another knife and sliced the cord. No big deal throws just fine without so took cord off all knives. Great for beginners and I even had my young sons throwing with me, they were thrilled each time they stuck one! They are light so distance throws are difficult, threw from about 10 feet consistently. I highly recommend these for beginners, just be patient and work on your form, these knives will do the rest!

Great affordable fun for the new user. They are wrapped in red, but this has been a lifetime hobby & I always paint my knives a bright hot pink or the like. People go everywhere to throw them, but this makes it easy to find them in deep thicket & brush. And your Uncle Danny. I love the 10 nylon sheath.

These are exactly what I was looking for but be warned, they are real metal and sharp! We have gotten the fake ones for my son in the past and felt at 10 he was ready for the real thing. He has been in martial arts for 6 years and trained with weapons before. He will stand out side and throw at his target for hours. They are small but heavy and just the right size for his hands. My husband has fun with them as well. Great quality and a great buy!
