Pentel Twist-Erase GT (0.5mm) Mechanical Pencil, Assorted Barrel Colors, Color May Vary, Pack of 3 (QE205BP3M)

These pencils are PERFECT for my needs. First of all, the eraser is actually really good; it's precise and leaves no smudges. Additionally, I really like how these erasers can be easily replaced and bought. This already gives it the upper hand against Papermate clear point mechanical pencils, where the erasers cannot be bought by themselves. Moreover, the grip on these is immaculate; they are very grippy and comfortable. One thing I will note, though, is that the Clearpoint Break Resistant twist is smoother than these; however, these are still pretty good. Just for some reason, the green pencil twist is stiff, but the other two are smooth. Another reason why these are perfect for me is that the tip retracts, which is useful because I put these in my pocket. The appearance of these pencils is good; I like the metal clip. The overall durability seems to be good; it does not have any springs, just a traditional clutch with no spring, so it is less prone to jamming or failing you, like Paper Mate. I may have just found my Toyota of mechanical pencils.

Better than I expected. I use pencils every day. This one is good looking and works well

When I first got them I didn't like the colors or the plastic feel. After having them in rotation in my big jar o' pencils for a while now I find them to be amongst the most comfortable and effective for drawing and now I pick them to carry in my pocket. The lead sheath is long and slides back do I don't have to advance more manually. The eraser doesn't rotate accidentally like my Papermate twist erase pencils, which are also heavier and clunkier. These Pentels are really nice. They grow on you.

Arrived with no problem

Good price, speedy delivery, quality product.

Great product. Nice long eraser.

I love the Twist-Erase pencil line. The mechanism for feeding the lead does not allow for slipping of the refillable leads back inwards like some lower-quality mechanical pencils. The refillable eraser that twists up is a huge plus. The diameter of the eraser is also a huge plus in my book as some refillable erasers are tiny and not very functional. The only reason that I took off 1 star is that while 2 of the pencils work just fine, 1 of the pencils has a defect where the entire silver lead-feeder at the tip gets pushed back into the pencil casing. I can still write with it, but if I push the lead all the way back into the pencil when I'm done using it, 80% of the silver part disappears back into the pencil. However, it doesn't affect the functionality. Minor detail as all 3 pencils work.

I love 0.5 pencils and my friend gave me a black one. I was on amazon scrolling and I found them. These pencils are great and the earasers are awesome. The mechanism to push the led was a little stiff at first but it loosens up a bit. I did figure I was not going to get the colored pencils because of the other reviews but pleasantly surprised when I did get the colored ones. I absolutely hate reviews without pictures so I added a whole bunch!! The led and eraser do last a while which is exactly what I need as a student. Update the eraser for one pencil is gone after more than 1 quarter which is good for me. I bought these a second time and I received a colored pack again! Thank you for my pencils!!

I use my eraser a lot, between my error-prone writing and my need to have very precise pencil markings. This has been the only good quality pencil with an excellent eraser. The only comparable pencil is the Papermate Clearpoint, which is ok, but is less durable and of lower build quality. I use even high-quality pencils like the Kuru Toga line, but those have tiny erasers and a need to remove the cap to erase. So, this pencil is the best to pop into my purse without the need to bring an additional eraser. The tip fully retracts into the body which is something I also need while on-the-go. I bought this to replace my two which have since broken. The point of breakage seems to be the tenon that goes into the plastic tip. But for the price, these are worthwhile. I received a blue, purple and red pack and I'm delighted to have received a purple!
