I would say this is for someone with a gas stove and wants to invest and lives in the cold north and has an interest in experimenting (at least in the beginning) and has some patience. I am not an advance cook, but I can hold my own. I use this 2X week in the winter. The seal will take some time to indent and will eventually have memory - but it will become easy to seal. In the meantime, simply use you fingernails to check & see if opposite sides of the top are equal distance from the pot and invest in taking the time up front to seal appropriately. I am old enough to refuse cheap products (when possible) and have many products from years past - including my home. This is amazing quality and will outlive me for sure. You can also easily purchase replacement products too. This product is a favorite and a part of my world, it is an important part of my kitchen life and it brings so many delicious dishes to my family! I don’t think all Americans recognize the quality because it is not an insta-pot as I see some negative reviews and also some common mistakes. Good luck.

I got this for my daughter, who makes a lot of bone broth. Her last two pressure cookers looked heavy duty, but after a couple of years of hard use, they exploded. We feel safer with this one. It's high quality, a thing of beauty, made in Spain. There are fewer parts that seem like they might break. The sheer simplicity of the design makes it safer. It feels more rugged than its predecessors too. And it heats up fast. Some buyers complain that it's hard to tighten and loosen the lid. But my daughter says average strength is all that's required. The Owner's Manual is in Spanish, so be prepared to go online to get an English version. It's a good manual.

The first times I used it, I did not tighten the knob hard enough, steam escaped and the pressure did not build up. Later on, I figured out that the knob has to be turned tight all the way, and it worked fine ever since then. It requires some force that I hope I will still have when I am 80. Other than that, I am quite happy with it.

I picked this pressure cooker because it lis like the one my mom used when I was growing up in France many years ago. I saw many meals prepared in that pressure cooker and it lasted for many many years. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but i didn't want them anyway because most of the time they end up breaking or just unnecessary. I wanted simple, easy and safe to use. I am definitely so happy with this pressure cooker. It is so sturdy, simple and it heats the food so fast. It is just what I wanted. so thank you for this quality product, it definitely is made with quality materials and very well made.

The clamp bracket on the right side is not positioned correctly. Therefore, the lid hits it before making a seal. The two clamps are 1/4 inch different in their placement. I'm going to return it for an exact replacement and see how I do. Follow up coming. Keep in mind that this is made in Spain. So don't be blaming China. This thing never would have gotten out of China. Follow up. Amazon sent me a replacement. It's OK but the seal must be heavily lubricated to prevent leaks. The induction plate in the bottom causes burning of food that comes in contact. It looks to me that the plate is pretty much centered rather than covering the entire bottom. At any rate, Salvation Army is going to get a donation. I am not returning this as Amazon has already sent me a replacement. No sense irritating them.

Buena calidad

Best bang for the buck in pressure cookers. I use their 12 quart in a commercial kitchen, and just purchased their 4 quart for home use. Straight-forward design makes for reliable operation. The ONLY downside to this simplicity is that you really need to CRANK DOWN that top lock for it to pressurize nice and tight.

Great product and convenient size. For Ease Of Use and Consistent Results Nothing Beats a Magefesa Pressure Cooker. Would be better still, if a spare silicone gasket was supplied with pressure cooker.

I like this cookware. It is pricey but it serves the purpose of making meat and any kind tender and easy to chew. Will recommend. Id like to try the smaller and bigger size but if i can get a coupon for purchase that would be awesome!

My trusted 9 Litre T-Fal pressure cooker finally failed me this Fall and when I went to buy it again I was sad to notice that the new models are no longer made in France like mine had been…now they’re all made in China. So the search for a new one was on! I’ve had Lagostina before too but the only model available is for 7L, which just doesn’t work for us, being a large family of 8. I came across this brand and found the reviews were great- it’s larger than my last one and it’s made in Spain. I’ve been using this every other day since I bought it and it’s just marvellous!! The meat is so tender; I’m able to cook my largest batches of stew and soup without having to use another stock pot!! But be warned…it’s very loud. I included a video because there was none available before I bought it and the first time I used it, I thought I had missed a step somewhere. It scares the beegeezus out of my dog but he loves the contents afterwards just like the rest of us. I’m in love with this thing! It’s a great investment and worth every penny!
