Delicious, high-quality snack โ perfect for on the go!
I was really impressed with Meat Shredz - Premium Dried Pulled Pork (Carolina BBQ - Sweet Mustard). The flavor is amazing โ a perfect balance of sweet and tangy mustard with real barbecue taste. The texture is just right: tender, not too dry, and easy to chew. I love that it's gluten-free, high in protein, and has low sugar. Itโs hard to find snacks that are both healthy and satisfying โ but this one nails it. Iโve used it for camping, road trips, and even as a quick topping for rice or salad. It adds so much flavor! Also, the 4-pack is convenient and stays fresh. It reminds me of bacon bits but with real shredded meat โ no weird aftertaste, just great quality. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a tasty and protein-packed snack!

Awesome for backpacking or emergencies!
I bought these because I've ben wanting to expand my culinary options on backpacking and other camping trips. So far, I have used these on a kayak camping trip. I made a Shells & Cheese with he siracha flavor and added some fresh broccoli florets. It was pretty good. For breakfast, we mixed the black pepper flavor in with scrambled eggs and ate as breakfast burritos. Again, not bad at all. I finished the remaining meat straight out of the pouch as a snack later, and that was also pretty satisfying. A bit expensive for everyday meals, but a great addition to any camp chef's kitchen, especially if refrigeration is an issue.

Pricey and worth it
This stuff is darn good! You can use it to augment stews soups pasta and eggs. Yes it's pricey but if you're just using it for a flavor a half a pack is enough.

I loved it!
Tried Meat Shredz for the first time and Iโm impressed. Itโs tender, flavorful, and really versatile. Here are a few dishes I made with it (avocado toast, tofu, ramen). Can see myself using this a lot more.

Great backpacking food!
I have been backpacking for 50 years, and eaten plenty of foil pack tuna. This addition to my larder has been a welcome go to for lunches or suppers. I can add it to a dinner before rehydrating the meal, using an ounce or 2 of additional water. When I use it for lunch, I can add a little cold water to it at a morning break, and have a great pulled pork sandwich for lunch. Either flavor is tasty, but I favor my foods spicy so I buy more Sriracha. Been known to add more hot sauce on my sandwich. If you are looking for variety in your meal planning, this is what you are looking for. I recently spent 4 days on the PCT near Mt. Ranier and ate meat shredz daily, with coleslaw and tortillas.

It's a flavored pork machaca, handy but pricey
These products are shredded dried pork with different pleasant spices, in small pouches. I just ordered them a second time after trying both flavors in the 2-flavor combo. Open packages kept well (as they should) when sealed against air and refrigerated. I've used them to add a pinch of meat to various tacos/taquitos, grilled sandwiches, and noodle soups. They're made from lean meat, since the protein:fat content ratio is 4:1. Only thing is, at $6.50 per small (62g) packet currently (equivalent to $48 a pound), the stuff is pricey for what you get. For comparison, shredded dried lean beef goes for $15 to $30 per pound here on Amazon; beef jerkeys are cheaper still. I pay the high price for occasional use, basically as a condiment. If it were $3 or even $4 per packet rather thant $6.50, I'd buy and use more, and recommend it to friends.

Very tasty!
I tried all varieties of Meat Shredz and found them all to be good, although my favorite is the Carolina BBQ. The Black Pepper and Siracha flavors were a little too spicy for my taste, but mixed with other ingredients, like pasta or beans, they were fine. When rehydrated with a little water and a splash of barbecue sauce and heated in the microwave, the meat was almost identical to freshly cooked meat and could be served on a bun for sandwiches. I highly recommend this product!

Bought for preps, reviews are all good...PRICEY for what it is
I bought these on a whim while prep shopping. This seems to be a great product and fits my needs it's just needlessly expensive for what it is and the amount you get. HOWEVER...when combined with a MH Macaroni and Cheese pouch, you get something pretty special and tastes like homemade. If this ever goes on sale, I would reorder. Takes up no space and has a ton of flavor.
