The ink works
I found my old pen over 25 yrs old and i knew it needed ink . So I found the kind I needed and it worked great. I love using my fountain pen again.

Still the Best
I have a Sheaffer cartridge pen that I used in during my senior year in high school (we weren't allowed to use ball pint pens in Catholic school!) I still use the pen today- it's 53 years old! This is the only cartridge that I find is not only compatible, it doesn't blot or drip and lasts a long time. Excellent. I don't buy any other!

These ink cartridges fit my vintage Schaefer pen perfectly, and they work great! The ink is very opaque and it flows smoothly.

Refills are half the size they used to be...
I've been using Schaefer pens and refills for many years. I like the pens with the calligraphy tip. I recently purchased additional refills. I was shocked to find out they are about half the size of previous refills. This is shameful in my opinion. The few pennies they saved will not make up for the lost good will of their customers. I often buy the pens for friends. I will be looking elsewhere in the future.
