what are the benefits ??

This provides tartaric acid, which, like citric acid, actually alkalizes your body when it's digested (it says so in the medical literature). You can make tartar sauce by adding this to your mayo recipe. Mixed with orange juice it is supposed to help people quit smoking. You can make a laxative by mixing equal parts powdered Epsom salts, this, and sulfur (half teaspoon of each, mixed, wash down with lots of water).
