Can i pump on the standard trucks?

Yes the standard skate trucks are very good and similar to original carver trucks. Easy to get on with I was pumping in a few hours no problem.

Is this suitable for beginner heavy riders?

Because the trucks are “surf” carving, I wouldn’t recommend for beginners since it can feel pretty unstable

Since its not fully taped, does that mean I will slip off all the time (I am a complete adult beginner)?

The rest of the deck is covered in clear grip tape! No slipping for you! ;-)

Will the 40" be more stable than a 31"?
