Great bake sale cookie bagsI was looking for small, clear, food-safe bags that would hold one medium-sized cookie. My medium-sized cookies are made from a quarter cup or 2 ounces of dough each (I use a #16 portioner). When baked they measure 3 to 3.75” diameter, and 0.25 to 0.75” tall. This bag works well for cookies of this size: the bag is big enough that the cookie slides in without any difficulty, but small enough that there is little wasted space. The plastic itself is as clear as glass, so it’s easy to see the item inside.Note: A few of my cookies spread and flattened a little more than I expected. A 3.875” diameter cookies fit in the bag, but just barely. It was a tight squeeze and the plastic was taut around cookies of this size. A cookie that spread to a diameter of 4.0” to 4.125” and a height of 0.25" did not fit in these bags. I used a 4.5 x 5.5” bag for them.I was initially concerned about possible “dead space” above my cookies, because I’m putting a round cookie into a rectangular bag. But the tape seal on the flap allows you “size” the bag to your liking. You can pull the flap down further to shorten the bag and thus make it fit the item inside. I put each cookie into the bag facing the flap side, then folded the flap down several inches behind the cookie before sealing it with the tape seal. This allowed me to eliminate wasted space at the top of the bag while leaving me enough room to affix a round 1.5” label on the upper right corner of the bag without obscuring the cookie inside (see photo).I am very happy with these and would buy them again.

Good design

I am very happy with these, and use them for small greeting cards or bookmarks that I have made. You can shorten the length somewhat by adjusting where you stick the flap. The flap is easily removed and repositioned without tearing the bag or reducing the stickiness of the adhesive. There is a little extra space around the margins, so you can easily insert and remove your items.
