Great Buy
Researched several Vacuum Sealers before landing on this one (Geryon with the Blue Circle Logo). The biggest reason I choose this one was I had noticed that many mentions of it operating perfectly, after moderate to heavy use, 2yrs and beyond (Longevity). Next, the products vacuum/sealing performance and once again it was receiving mostly high praise with the rare sealing/vacuum issues (could easily be due to user error, wrinkles/bag placement/liquid/Need to replace gaskets/Diff. thicker plastic). Finally, the ease of cleaning/drip tray, this sealer the whole top half comes off of the bottom half, some said that they found it difficult to get it back on (once again could be user error). So, I bought it, after using for a month (Vacuum/Sealing approx. 50 items for freezing, mostly prepped meals, stews, soups, ect...) it works great, seals well, vacuum leaves no air in packages (TIP: wet meals freeze first then seal also play with the settings to find your perfect...), cleaning is easy (top half in up position lift to remove, pull out the foam gasket in the bottom half, Clean It, Dry It, Replace gasket, and Take the Top Half at 90 degree angle and slide down...Easy)...In the end this is a great deal and a great product. Hope this helps someone out there. Cheers

Clean compact design, excellent instructions
I bought the basic model Geryon Vacuum Sealer back in February 2020. I was so impressed with the product and its value that I wrote a very positive review at the time. Since then I have sealed about 50 bags without any problems that were not my own doing (like overstuffing bags). Geryon recently invited me to test and review this new improved model and keep the unit free of charge. I have a hunting/fishing camp and wanted a second sealer to leave up there to package venison and trout so I agreed. First, the User Manual and Troubleshooting Guide are improved and very clearly written and illustrated and they deserve an A+ for that as compared to most manuals that accompany products from China. This is important because probably every operating issue you might encounter is covered in the Manual or Guide so just read them first. There are a few simple rules for using any vacuum sealer that you may not figure out on your own. And it annoys me – and must drive the manufacturer nuts – when I read negative reviews from people who obviously did not bother to read the instructions. These devices are simple to use, but if you lack common sense and/or can't read, you will encounter problems with certain foods your try to seal such as those with high liquid content like fish, or easily squished items like berries, or infinitely compressible items like bread cubes from old bread you want to freeze for future stuffing. In the case of bread, the machine will keep running trying to get all the air out which is impossible for any basic food sealer vacuum pump. Use the Gentle mode or hit Stop and then Seal once you realize it is not pulling out any more air. You can see that thousands of Amazon buyers have given the Geryon sealers 4 or 5 stars and they are Amazon's #1 best seller, so the question here is, are the extra features on the new Geryon worth an extra 25 dollars over the base model or an extra 5-10 dollars over their intermediate model? Although the base model works just fine, the two suction modes (Gentle, Normal), the Moist and Dry modes, plus easy-cleaning feature, make the intermediate or the new model with the bag cutter bar, definitely worth the extra money. The cutter bar is handy (no searching for scissors) and gives you fast, clean square cuts that insures consistent easy sealing as compared to crooked or ragged cuts you might make with some other cutter. So just buy the unit - you will be happy. Finally some advice: buy the type of bags they recommend and don't be cheap by making bags too small. The instructions say "allow 4" of space between the bag contents and top of bag." Follow that rule and you will have success every time with plenty of room to label and date the contents.

Nice little vacuum sealer. Small footprint.
This sealer works well, is easy to operate, and is very versatile. It even has an option for jar sealing. The hose and attachment comes with it but not the jar sealing cap, you'll have to buy that separately if you need it. I like the option for sealing moist foods. The moist setting causes the heat sealer to seal for a longer time since there may be moisture that would cause the dry setting to not get the plastic bag hot enough for a good seal. That's a very good feature my old and expensive Seal-a-Meal did not have. I also like the small footprint on this sealer, it is easily 1/4 the size of the old Seal-a-Meal and does just as good a job. The vacuum it creates is good -- again, as good as the Seal-a-Meal. The only complaint I have is that the buttons are very sensitive and the vacuum pump sometimes starts before I am ready. You just have to barely touch them. There is a stop button that turns it off, but it happens often enough to be a little annoying. Maybe it's just my unit. It isn't enough of an issue to return it -- I'll keep it. I'm very pleased with the sealer and have already started portioning and sealing meals for the freezer.

El producto tiene una calidad pésima. Solo funcionó la primera vez. A partir de ahí dejó de funcionar. No succiona el aire ni sella los alimentos.
