Used 3NN on black hair for 30 minutes. Covered all stubborn gray hair and color came out rich silky and all grays gone buh bye! Doesn’t smell strong and washes out well. Does not bleed too much on white towels which is great! Highly recommend!

I love this brand, and that’s comin from a curly girl (2b-3a), but oh my gosh, it comes out DARK. I got 3NN and I was just wanting a dark brown but it’s basically black. At least it looks alright lol, but I would definitely do half the time instead of full.

I used it with 10 vol developer as I wanted to even out my dark brown hair color that got lightened near the ends (seen in pic 1). I picked 3NN as I assumed it was closer to my natural hair color, but it’s actually black! So be cautious when purchasing the shades. Other than that, it does the job and made my hair feel healthier compared to conventional box dyes. I used 2 tubes for my hair length and it was the right amount.

I've been getting my hair colored at the salon due to some greys on my temple. I thought I'd try doing it myself to save money :) I'm glad I did some research and found this product, because it came out perfect! I have naturally black fine hair with some brown tones. I also have old highlights, which I have been told many times that they don't usually color over it since it will just fade and the highlight will show through again. I went with the 3NN, even though I've been reading to go 1 to 2 shades lighter and also read a review that said their hair turned jet black. So my hair did turn pretty black, but I'd rather go darker than lighter to see how the color will turn out on my hair. In the future, I may mix the 3NN with some 4N. The process was simple enough with the right tools, but I can definitely use improvement in application. So I didn't read whether it should be measured by weight vs. volume. I ended up doing volume (which I later read it should be by weight) - it still turned out well. I started putting the color in the grays, then all over the roots. After 30 min., I went ahead and colored the rest of my hair with the old highlights, and left it for another 10 min. Right before shampooing, I spread the color all around my hair. I didn't by the starter kit, so I used L’Oréal Paris Moisture Sulfate Free Shampoo and Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment. I had to rinse a couple of times until the water ran clear. With that, my hair came out quite soft after blow drying. It's been a week now and the color has not faded. My hair is also not overly dry or damaged (just what is expected with color). Also, there was no stinging on my scalp, which I always had at the salon! I know my greys will grow out (already seeing it after a week), but I'm happy I'm able to save at least $50 in doing this at home vs. the salon.

I've really enjoyed ordering and using this hair dye. I break it up into 3 sessions for my roots. I already have the developer at home, so I just carefully measure the developer onto a scale and then add / measure on the scale the amount to use. It mixes well and doesn't smell horrible. Maybe that's the developer? - but anyhow, it doesn't stink up the bathroom. It covers up my WHITES (nevermind "Gray") and it doesn't wash out revealing INCHES of white hair. It literally stays in my hair over long periods of time and when my hair grows out, it only shows my actual growth. Then I pop in and just do my roots. Every 4th root touch up though, I will go through and do an all over. I have THICK hair and is past my shoulders, so I always have to do 2 tubes to do a complete coverage. I also like that it doesn't dry my hair out. Sometimes I know if it's a dry out product when I go to rinse the color from my hair. You can feel the texture - and this rinses smoothly. I just follow it up with an after color conditioner.

Oh let me teeellll you ! I have been buying pricey Italian boxed dye with bonder. I thought that was great. The color was deep and my hair was sooo shiny. I STILL had to keep dying my hair every few weeks because the gray would come back up. I thought my hair was growing that quick. Well all that dying thined my hair, hurt my scalp, and my hair even started to break. Soooo after using this I noticed the grays didn't come out so soon. DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT WAS ?! My hair was not growing so quick ! It wasn't getting much longer. The dye was not able to hold for long to the roots so it would wash out quicker ! With this dye I've been able to go with out chemicals for over a month and the grays are barely showing or coming out. So I will continue with this instead. Also it may be easier to buy a bottle to apply this then with the bowl and brush.

Nice hair dye, I previously coloured my hair red and I wanted to go back to my dark brown hair. I tried the 3nn intense darkest brown and it perfectly covered all the red in my hair, the colour turned out close to jet black .
