Overmont 2 in 1 Cast Iron Dutch Oven, 5 QT

Had this now for 2 years, works great, not rusting don't have any problems, if someone is complaining about it, they just don't know how to take care of it properly. For me, it looks like it will last next decade or longer! Just bought one with enamelled inside (different cooking purposes). It’s an investment for many years (unless you plan to stop eating) at a really good price.

looks and feels like a quality product, for me it was way too big for my needs so had to return it, got confused with the size I was looking for a 1.6qt dutch oven and Amazon recommended this one, but only the lid is 1.6 qt the main body is 5 qt. Looks ideal size to cook a whole chicken, and being able to use the lid to fry is a brilliant design, ideal for a small family

I'm stuck between giving it 3* or 4* There was a tiny bit of pitting on the outside. The cast iron is super porous and quite light which means it's cheap cast iron but considering the cost it's not surprising. I decided to sand it down slightly on the inside. not much, just a couple of minutes by hand! I wasn't trying to make it smooth, otherwise the seasoning has trouble adhering. It's also totally optional, the porousness will go but it can take a long time if you aren't using the pan multiple times a day. It's cheap and is probably a good introduction to cast iron for someone who isn't sure, or to add to your collection as it will last a lifetime as long as you don't drop it on a rock or leave it to soak so it gets rusty, etc etc. I started writing this review thinking it was going to be 3* but now I think 4* just because even though it has issues. £30-£35 for a good enough pan that will last you your whole life if you look after it is actually a very good deal.

Brilliant multifunction pan that I use for baking seriously crusty bread - if you lose the major brand name you can get something like this that is just as well seasoned and distributes heat perfectly, but at a fraction of the cost. I've chucked it about a lot and it has that rock-steady durability that I expect from cast iron, with no chips or dinks. Bread just slides off the seasoned base without any issue at all.

Fantastic price and quality it's a really good size. Great reviews and great information on how to care for the item along with recipes. Great that the top and bottom can be used separately and together, on barbecue, open fire and on the stove. Just Fantastic really impressed. Cook a beef roast in it, it was fantastic really noticed the taste and quality and cooked it faster. Beautiful.

Just the right weight, if it’s anything like the frying pans it’s going to last forever, cooks in a way your standard casserole dish can’t, heat cooks from all sides making meat so tender. Lid is also usable for cooking which adds to its practicality. Very easy to clean and maintain.

Was good value compared to most of the equivalent products. World as it should and produces great results. I was a little apprehensive as my set of cast iron frying pans are a much more expensive brand but their version of this was an astronomical price. This however works just as well and so I am really happy with my purchase.

Load of rubbish.rusted after first use .even though i cleaned as per instructions.and wiped with veg oil .still rusted.

Düzenleme eğer talimatlara uyup yağ ile damlatıp silerseniz sorun olmuyor yıkayınca bu şekilde yapmazsanız pas oluşuyor fakat talimatlara belirtildiği gibi temizlendiği sürece sorun olmuyor

As it arrived in the box it was really good but as we wanted to clean it (wipe it with wet sponge) it got so rusty and it looks just like a pot from 1980s

Unbeatable price for a Dutch oven of this size and quality. It doesn't look as pretty as an enamel cover one, but you really can't go wrong with this. Just remember to wash and season it a few times before you first use it.

Hallo zusammen! Ich habe den Gusseisentopf von OVERMONT am 15. Mai 2026 erhalten. Bestellt hatte ich ihn zwei Tage zuvor, am 13. Mai 2026. Die Lieferung durch Amazon war sehr schnell. Neben dem Topf enthielt das Paket eine Gebrauchsanleitung und ein Kochbuch mit einigen nützlichen Tipps. Der doppelt verwendbare Eisengusstopf verfügt über einen Deckel, der gleichzeitig als Pfanne verwendet werden kann. Ich habe ihn direkt mal mit einem Spiegelei getestet, nachdem ich ihn kurz eingebrannt und gereinigt hatte. Und ich muss sagen: Das Ei ist super über die Oberfläche gerutscht, fast wie in einer Teflonpfanne! Anfangs war ich etwas skeptisch, weil ich ein paar negative Bewertungen gelesen hatte. Da ich die Anleitung vor dem ersten Gebrauch: Kochen, Reinigen, Würzen, Wiederholen. Angewändet Habe. Der Gusseisentopf war voreingebrannt, dadurch entwickelt sich eine Antihaftschicht. Meine Nutzung : Backen, Kochen, Gasgrill, sowie Induktion. Gekocht habe ich auf meinem Induktionskochfeld, das sich super mit Eisenguss kombinieren lässt. Die Wärme verteilt sich schnell und gleichmäßig, so dass die Ergebnisse echt gut waren. Der GusseisenTopf wurde vor dem Gebrauch von mir nochmals gereinigt und gewürzt (Öl ) Raps oder Leinöl einreiben dann bei 220 °C Eingebrand, Bitte nicht mit Kalten Wasser Abschrecken! Er eignet sich zum Backen, Kochen und auf Gasgrill Sowie Ceran, Induktion. Der Topf hat zwei Austausch Griffe aus Silikon, die echt praktisch sind, wenn man ihn anfassen möchte. Aber Achtung: Er bleibt auch nach dem Abschalten des Kochfeldes noch eine Weile heiß, also Vorsicht ist geboten! Ob man sich für Gusseisen entscheidet, hängt natürlich davon ab, wie viel Zeit man für die Reinigung hat und ob man Spaß am Kochen damit hat. Pries Leistung bin ich sehr zufrieden . Aber ich kann ihn euch nur empfehlen! Für mich ist es jedenfalls eine tolle Ergänzung in der Küche!
