Grover Jaw Harp works great and is one of the most fun instruments I've ever played!
I'm so glad I bought this. Within a day of practice I was playing original tunes. I've always loved the sound and concept behind the jaw harp- now i can play one of my own! There's a lot of cheap jaw harps for sale on amazon- I chose this one because it got the best reviews; it seemed that many of the other cheap ones didn't even work (according to the reviews). The jaw harp is fun to play because there's so many possibilities. The player's ability to make shapes out of their mouths and tongue determines the nature of the sound and the different notes- that's a seriously large amount of possibilities. It's also tons of fun.The only downside that's worth mentioning is that sounds can only be produced by positioning the jaw harp very, very delicately. Think of it like a clarinet- you need to be gentle and precise to make any sound at all, as opposed to a guitar, where a simple pluck of the string produces a sound.-Morgan

Not great -just okay.
This is not the best harp .Its small form factor makes it useful but you don’t want to press it against your teeth- better to put it against your lips .Now if you know how to play these , you can make some sounds with it but it’s far fainter than the better harps .The reason is its size and large gap in the reed and frame .It has its advantages though . Instead of looking at your phone while sitting in the dmv , you can play this as it’s not too loud . Waiting rooms and general wait situation -this could be good .This harp is also good if you need to exercise your jaw and face muscles but use the pursed /pressed lip method with this one . Using this in that aspect keeps your face and neck looking younger - Exercise muscles to stay looking good , hmm . Who knew .

Very nice!!!
After purchasing the Alto Jaw Harp I decided to get the smaller one also. For a few hours I wasen't so sure about it but after a few tweeks & break in time the volume level seemed to get louder.Like it's bigger bro the tone is nice, well made, easy to play.Be carefull you don't bite down too hard or it will rattle & could hit your teeth!!It's inexpensive so don't expect too much, but I like it & I'm not that easy to please lol!!The Alto is easier to play for me(I have a big mouth). With practice I'll get better technique on the Soprano, then I'll get the Tenor!!Buy it you'll like it!!Joe4/26/13...I'm sure volume got louder after a few days of playing. The metel must need to be broken in!! I can't stop playing these things!! Play with TV shows, commercials, music. You can make it sound like Peter Frampton's guitar "do you feel like we do" or Joe Walsh"s "rocky mountain way"!! SO MUCH FUN!!!

Great deal, but . . . (Additional edit below)
The media could not be loaded. It’s just a bit smaller than I thought it would be. My fault for relying on the photo rather than the specs. All in all has a nice sound (please don’t judge it based on my video) at a reasonable price. 👍🏼Edit: Ordered a 2nd one and received 10/27, but this time the package was partially open and the harp was bent. 66.6% success from Grover thus far.

Grover only makes toys...not real quality instruments
ZERO STARS!! this is a toy, not a real musical instrument. Despite their contrary claims. This sounded cool for about 7 days until the metal prong just broke off. Alright? I used it every day...I did NOT misuse/abuse it. Bottom line: if u just wanna pluck on this for fun, on the wknd the bar...or just for kicks...but don't buy it if u want A REAL JAW HARP...I love the Altai harps, P. Potkin made mine and I LUV IT!! It's SO much better, really, i'm so glad I got that one first! So I know these Grover ones suck. I am GOING to order a Schwartz set of 4 jaw harps...but I haven't yet. I recommend the Altai region Siberian Jew's harp. Sounds IMMACULATE. ..beautiful. Grovger makes toys. Don't believe what they say

Ok
This is a fun little jaw harp. Not the best quality, but after watching tutorials and practicing, one can produce some nice tunes.

Highly recommended!
This is an excellent jaw harp. These Austrian ones are real musical instruments, not toys like some of the cheaper ones out there. If you've tried to learn the jaw harp but have struggled to get good sound out of a toy store or restaurant jaw harp, try one of these. Your whole paradigm of what a jaw harp sounds like will be changed!I do have perhaps one caution with this harp: As stated above, this is a real instrument, not a toy. These Austrian jaw harps have more sensitive reeds and lighter frames than cheaper harps, which means that they aren't likely to survive abuse by children. If you want a heavy, clunky steel jaw harp for the grandkids, buy the Snoopy harp or one of the other toy ones out there. If you want a great jaw harp that you can play as a serious musical instrument, then this is the one for you.
