The media could not be loaded. I used it to check my HVAC for R410a leaks. No leak found. I tested it by removing the plastic valve covers on the service port of the outside AC unit and it detected the small amount of R410A under the plastic covers. I'm very satisfied with this product and would recommend it.When inserting the battery holder back into the leak detector be careful not to damage the two wires. It's a tight fit and the wires don't seem very strong.UPDATE. After further testing with the Elitech detector, I found 3 areas where gas was leaking. I will attempt to upload videos.

I was very skeptical when I ordered this product but I pulled the trigger anyway. Just as I figured, it does not detect leaks very well. I have a small leak that I could not find with bubble type leak check. I got this today and decided to check it out. I put a tap on a freon can and adjusted it just until it showed the slightest leak with the bubble check. I put the detector on the most sensitive setting and it could not register it at all. I then opened the valve until I could actually hear it leaking and tried again. This time the detector found the leak but if I can actually hear it leaking I wouldn't have needed the detector at anyway. I am going to return this POS and spend a few more bucks for one that actually works.

It's cheap but its paid for itself plenty of times at this point. I have a 300 dollar Snap On tester that sits on the shelf because this one calibrates faster and works better in my opinion. Docked a star because of build quality.

I got this to troubleshoot a leak in my car AC unit. From the oil stains I suspected it was a bad hose, turned out it wasn’t. Found out it was a blown O-ring which I replaced. Unit pays for itself the first time that you use it, either to find the problem to fix yourself or know the mechanic isn’t pulling one on you.

when I tried to use put afresh battery in it and it don't work

ok but instructions are in Chinese cant read them so I don't know how to use it is there anyway I can get instructions written in english

Compact and easy to use.Thought it did not work at first but when I pulled out the battery holder I found it needs 4 x AA batteries, not 2!Works fine now.

recived on time but tool does not work in am presently in Africa so I could not return it very unhappy
