Norton 360 is excellent, update any old prejudice against Norton
I'm old enough to remember the excellent Norton utilities, which mutated from a small, fast suite of MS DOS tools into a bloated, resource-hungry mess. Likewise, Norton Antivrirus was, not too long ago, a bit of a resource-hungry monster that could slow down a PC almost as much as the viruses it was supposed to be protecting you from. That, my friend is history. Norton 360 is excellent. Not only do you get first-class virus protection, you also get dark web monitoring to tell you if your personal details are being sold on the dark web, you get a fast VPN (I mean really fast, I've had VPN speeds of over 100mbps on my 200mbps Virgin broadband), cloud backup (just enough for Windows, but not enough for a load of installed games/software, so I don't use it.), a password manager, and parental controls. Frankly, it's worth the cost just for the VPN: 12 months fast VPN for 5 devices for ยฃ15? What sorcery is this?! (And yes, the Virus protection and VPN works on my Android phone and tablet). The downside? Installation is fairly simple, but unintuitive, and for the financially paranoid (like me) a bit harrowing. I don't like having to give my financial details to install software, but I found I did with Norton 360, even though I'd bought it from Amazon. Happily, it's easy to cancel the auto-renew, but it's a bit messy and Norton should do better. It's even messier if you're upgrading from an older version of Norton Security Deluxe, as it's not just a simple install, you have to completely clear off the old software and it's not intuitive or particularly quick. But for a fresh install, this is great! I was a died in the wool AVG user, but I'm on my third year of Norton now, (2nd year of Norton 360) and I'm loving it. Unreservedly recommended, but you may need a little tech support.

It works, good value for money
I have used Norton Anti-virus products for years. They are good and reliable. I tried some free options in the past and never again.

Excellent peace of mind for online safety
I've been purchasing Norton for over 20 years and have never had a problem. Instant delivery via email, easy to install. I'd recommend using the link in the email to install (if you've not ordered the physical copy) as it's increasingly hard to find where to put in the activation code on the Norton website without downloading (and purchasing) again. Remember also to remove the automatically renew option on the Norton website so you're not automatically charged a whopping ยฃ90 for renewal next year. Other than the Norton website pushing auto-renewal and the struggle to find where to put the activation code, this product is highly recommended.

Misleading advertising! Crap and you will have to buy other products separately.
Norton 360 deluxe. Bought it to use VPN as it was supposed to be including several countries. Advertising does not say it has a limit number of countries on the VPN. MacAfee was getting too expensive and I tried to use this one as alternative. I have only 29 countries listed and couldn't find Portugal on VPN list so I and contacted support thinking this was a glitch. After 45 minutes of remote assistance was told that the reason i could't find Portugal on VPN list is because different products have different countries? And that if I wanted to have other countries would need to add the Norton VPN separately. more ยฃ29.99. Really? This was not explained on amazon advertisement. Furthermore, after installation you will be bombarded with attempts for you to buy other Norton products all the time..which is annoying. Norton keeps sending messages telling you pc is full of crap and you need to buy extra software for ยฃ39.99. So basically Norton created this cheap options, advertised as full softwar, just to make you buy them and then having to buy others to get what was promised on the first place. Plus, I also contacted Norton by phone and the agent at some point asked me if I knew what I bought?? Saying "Madam you bought a standard safety security product, if you want a VPN you have to buy the Norton VPN separately!! Cheating people!! Giving up this product, not worth it.

NORTON 360 antivirus
Having had a bad experience when a 'trojan' infected my laptop, was concerned when a pop-up window said my current antivirus software was just about to expire. The renewal seemed on the expensive side to me. Looked at options on AMAZON. The NORTON 360 Deluxe was good value for 1yr and 5 devices. Was easy to download and quick. So far so good !

Good protection - average user experience. TOO MANY POP-UPS!
Good security software let down by far too many issues. 1. The probelm that everyone complains about. That you need to input your card details or you cannot activate the product. There are no words of that kind of behaviour. 2. About the system to claim on the Norton guarantee of a refund if they cannot remove a virus. You have to be subscribed to automatic renewal. If you put your card details in to activate Norton, which initiates automatic renewal, then cancel automatic renewal. You can't use the guarantee. 3. The app is flaky. When you move your mouse over any of the Norton windows that are open, your mouse lags. It makes using the app, unpleasant. 4. If you have your PC on for a few hours the VPN on/off button stops working, forcing you to reboot to gain control. 5. I was pleased about the back up data allowance. I figured I might want to back up the odd picture/document. Only to be extremely disappointed. When I went to look at this feature, it required being set-up. At the start of this process, it asked if I wanted to back up all my pictures on my PC. Declining means not being able to use the back-up system. 6. Installing add on security features like Norton Safe Search is not user friendly. If you add 'safe-search' it affects something I use often. E.g. you are on a webpage and see a line of text you want to google. You can left-click and drag across it, then right click on it. Then there is an option to search google for that highlighted text. With Safe-Search enabled, Norton takes that over and displays Norton results and not Google results. I.e. changing your search engine. I have had to revert back to copying text I want to search on, and paste it into google. This is a far as I got. I gave up installing add-ons of any kind, because I could not be bothered with the hassle. Very likely I would not have liked how other features operate. There are a few features I am not even trying to use. To a certain extent I gave up exploring other general options too. The VPN is handy if you want to view region restricted content. However using a VPN on a regular basis is somewhat a pain. Wesites load noticabely slower. Some websites are blocked to VPNs, because VPN anonimity is what hackers use. Amazon Priome Video is 50/50 whether it will let you stream with the VPN on. If yu use the VPN day-today, you may have to turn it off to use Amazon Prime Video. ... Whereas other brand/manufacturer VPNs are fine. There are far too many pop-ups in the lower right side of your monitor. I don't mean good advice like 'this file is safe etc'. I mean stuff about do you want to buy a product to stop tracking cookies? Adverts and more than one type. Sometimes you'll get three over short period of time, and be swearing at having to close irritating ad pop-ups. Like what the hell is Norton doing contacting me on my PC desktop experience?
