perfect for adapting to usual imaging conditions
Tight spaces, uncooperative patients, NO PROBLEM! The image critique was a greater refresher. The only problem I had is the binder started breaking down and the pages was loosing up

I really enjoyed this book. It gives the radiographer multiple options to deal with trauma situations.

Pro:Great section on mobile radiography. Con:Book binding falling apart
Great book for new radiology graduates. I still have a lot to learn after just graduating so I decided to try out this book. I like how there are pictures but I do wish there were still more pictures. I couldn't find any books with pictures on mobile/portable x rays so I really like how there is a section with pictures and explanations of how to do certain things and how to correct mistakes. I wish there was more on ICU type patients too. A lot of my patients aren't as mobile as the ones in the book so certain positions won't work. I'm not sure if the book is to basic for older techs but I'm sure any advise in this book would help others too. The only negative about this book is the binding. I bought it about a month ago and just started to read it and quite a few pages have already came out. It's past the return date so I wasn't able to exchange it for another one. I spent a lot so not happy about that part.

Pages fell out
Within the first two months of use the whole spine of the book gave out and I had to get it modified for a binder to keep using it. Other than the quality it contains all the necessary info you'd need for a class with this book.

Finally somebody is talking about real positioning issues
I have taught for many years and much of what is in this book has been informally talked about in my positioning classes. This text formally presents these positioning issues and then explains why things are this way. There are very clear illustrations to demonstrate these principles as well. I expect this book to be a very welcome addition for radiography instructors and I plan to add it to my required textbooks this fall. Great job!

Needs work
Has a lot of great tips, however the book suffers from poor organization and the index doesn't help much. There's good information in this book, but it is hard to find when you need it.Severe trauma can make the simplest xray very difficult and there are some parts of the body that are completely omitted in this book or given a single sentence of attention. I hope this book addresses these issues in the next edition.
